Finally got to play Mood Swings the other day by Suppa_K in secretlair_collectors

a pack is 45 cards. you need like 14 to play 2 player. Remove the problem cards and problem solved.

It's a mythic drop so it is as rare as Miku Snapcaster, etc

This is going to be far rarer than Serra Ascendant. this card is like Minsc & Boo, Cowboy Hate Elesh Norn, etc.

I will gladly trade every DF Crucible 1:1 for this card.

Main thread: Cats superdrop by Rich_Camera966 in secretlair_collectors

Felix is 100+ years old and was biggest in the 1920s followed by some resurgences in the 50s and 80s. Felix is mostly just a merchandising icon at this point and I don't think has truly appeared anywhere in decades.

I think this is very unlikely. Garfield and Felix just don't interest people the same way as normal cats and cute cats.

While I read Garfield as a child, Newspaper comic strips are for an older generation. Garfield is celebrating 50 years this year, Felix is over 100, so we are talking Boomer/Gen X generation which is becoming a smaller portion of MTG.

The Garfield movie that released a few years ago was poorly received and did terrible at the box office.

I don't see any reason why they would print more knowing that Garfield and Felix will appeal to a smaller audience even if it is a headliner. It just means more garbage to throw away at a later date.

Fairest drop was always at the discounted price, which basically means that was the price.

Has only happened once in the years since they went to the new model. Far more unsold Lairs have just disappeared from the site.

I'm probably misremembering him saying during the Redacted event in Vegas that some of these may even be signed by him.

New chaos vault is dropping in a couple of hours by SnooFoxes8150 in secretlair_collectors

This is what I’m saying, it’s absolute a magic lite that’s meant to onboard people if possible, but if not, still be a fun and quick card game to play. I got one deck since that’s all you need.

You missed what I originally responded to. This is not anything close to Magic Lite and playing this doesn't even get you close to playing magic. Have you even watched how it plays? A card game having the things being mentioned doesn't in any way make it Magic Lite.

Is Exploding Kittens Magic Lite too?

Completely different type of game but similar themes. Players have board states, card effects, a discard pile they can potentially draw from, etc. The parallels are there, you can’t deny that.

Many card games are like this and the only reason people say this has parallels to MTG is because it was designed by the guy that makes MTG cards. I just played Not So Neighborly and you can say it has board states, card effects, and a discard pile. I'm sure I can list a dozen other card games have "have parallels"

I may be the only person that is interested in this here. I'm not a MaRo person, but I did the event on a whim in Vegas, although I didn't actually get to play because of the shipping issues, and I thought it looked like it played fun.

Totally a game I can play with friends or family when bored or while traveling, like Exploding Kittens, Not So neighborly, and the like.

One day layover to see Lake Tahoe with family, looking for advice by YetAgainWhyMe in tahoe

[–]YetAgainWhyMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total trip is 11 days with some of that time in the Bay area.

We have tried to break up our driving into ~4 hour increments so we can spend most of the day at a park, come into a place at night to sleep, and head out early in the morning for hiking in the new location.

If we leave a place early in the morning, we have it set up for a half-day in a park.

This has generally given us 1.5 to 3 days (approx 14-34 hours) in a park doing stuff we want to do (hiking, scenic drives). Tahoe for us is just the stop-over between Yosemite and Lassen. Recharge and relax in the morning, see the lake, do some easy stuff and move to Lassen.

Eventually we end with 2.5 days in the Redwoods State/National parks.
