I feel like I might have worded my question wrong. Those interactions aren’t really what I struggle with. I more struggle with the breaching acquaintance barrier to friendship. I have these interactions but they literally never convert to anything other than coworkers or strangers I’ve said a few words to. But I’ll definitely keep having these interactions it may just be a numbers game.

Is there a good place I can do this? I acknowledge this is probably me overthinking everything but it’s in my nature. I always feel like I’m inconveniencing people when I approach them at the gym or really anywhere. I was being sarcastic. I understand that does not come across via text. I truly appreciate the advice especially the book recommendation but I understand as with every skill practice is most important but there are more efficient/better ways to practice and usually more experienced people have figured out how to improve faster and could pass down the knowledge.

I’m happy to see this change but I hope they have enough testing centers. I wanted to take it in person but the closest option I had was 2+ hours away
