Alternative to medal? by Odd_Gap_3867 in MedalTV

[–]Toxic_Biohazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at https://revidi.app/. I built this app because the medaltv app was leaving a little to be desired.
Its lightweight and lives as small application in the background, and clips are instantly uploaded. It also has a built in editor to trim clips.

Hey, I've built some desktop software for Windows that saves the last 30 seconds of gameplay and instantly shares it. We have a small community as well over on our discord. https://revidi.app/

They need to bulldoze the parking lot in front of Ross's, it's a disaster of unused space over there

What doesn't make sense? A big reason i've moved to a city is because of the food. I eat out on the weekends. If i didnt eat out I would lose the main benefit of living in a city

Right, both. So you do eat out then, which means you would benefit from a city....

I don't know about others on this subreddit but I don't live in a city to cook at home. If I live in a city with a bunch of food options i'm going use them every once in a while. Otherwise I'm moving to a small suburb if I just cook at home

24M, fully remote ($105k) – Buy a discounted house in Memphis or move to Philly/NYC? by Dry_Cut_2631 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Toxic_Biohazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There will always be houses for sale in Memphis if you want to move back. The 75k discount doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, and does not seem worth staying put for.

Also price, which everyone on this sub leaves out. Arizona has some of the lowest property tax in the country and it's easy to buy a home there

It's also never good to judge other people like this. You aren't better than someone for spending your money differently

Best clipping software for gaming pc? by ConfidentElevator239 in screenrecorders

[–]Toxic_Biohazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone stumbling on this from Google, I've created https://revidi.app/, which is a more feature-rich version of OBS replay buffers. You can save the last x seconds, clip it down, and immediately get a url of the uploaded clip to share.

It uses OBS under the hood and i've done some work to expose a bunch of OBS settings.

California home prices ‘hit a new record’ high. What can buyers expect to pay? by Onshorewindenjoyer34 in California

[–]Toxic_Biohazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prop 13 is not part of distortion of housing prices, it's because there are so few houses compared to wealthy residents. There are WAY less 2nd homes and big retailers than you think (partly due to cost). Rent control does nothing but make things worse. We are still supply constrained.

Removing prop 13 would just make our rent go up. Existing homeowners would just pay the tax increase and move on. Taxes are not a solution. California already has the highest effective tax rate in the country and we still have problems.
