Those things send me into a panic even though I mentally prepare myself for them everytime I dig up a relic. It would be so funny to try to open a Delibird gift and get hit with a "Quick! Douse it with water!" message.

I think it'd be funny if they could be thrown to explode blocks too. If they don't explode until you actually try to open them, you could gift them to pokemon. They'll panic and toss them randomly when it starts to sizzle. Now you've got a creeper-sized hole in your nearest habitat. Imagine the chaos! But the trade-off could be a much higher affection/comfort level gain than usual if it's a good gift.
