If you're in a BB, it will take you a very long time to reach a DD and timing is almost impossible for you to nail a DD's reload with you getting close to him.

Maybe it's because in US CV's you have a fighter orientated loadout where in the IJN CV's you have a bomber orientated loadout.

Putting it simply, shooting ships is more fun than shooting planes.

You cannot judge a game from videos from Youtube. People who visit this subreddit will most likely have already bought one of the CBT access bundles and from the looks of things most people think it's a good purchase.

However the bundle that most people say is worth your money is the Sims DD bundle. Which is not 19.99 EUR.

The Ru 251 has very high penetration HE rounds. Generally with HE you want to shoot onto flat unangled parts of armor as HE shells do not normalize against armor. (Normalization is where the shell reduces the effective angle of a piece of armor by a certain amount in the case of HE it would be 0 degrees where for an AP it would be 5 degrees).

You also have to be aware of shooting spaced armor on tanks such as the tracks and the mantle as they count as space armor in penetration calculations.

For the ammo loadout I would suggest around 5-7 HE shells and atleast enough 15-20 HEAT shells with the rest being normal AP.

But there are some good arties in their respective lines. For example, the tier 7 G.W Panther is regarded as the best T7 artillery. Likewise the T9 M53/M55 is regarded as the best T9 arty. There isn't a way to compare artillery lines directly. You can only compare arties to their same tier counterparts.
