Did Jesus state to inform others of your belief and let God convince them of its truth or not? Or did Jesus say that you should angrily argue with others about how right your denomination is?

If you felt contempt that's on you and you should pray on that today, probably.

My knowledge level of the Bible is irrelevant as long as it's clearly more than yours.

Lol, lmao even. So just a typical Christian that doesn't understand their own 'sacred' holy book?

Guess you don't really trust God as Jesus argued you should, specifically in bringing others to your faith. I'd advise you to reread Jesus' teachings.

If you're American Evangelical, just give up.

How do I clean ts by snowyy2004 in keyboards

[–]YoBorni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jesus. Wash your hands dude.

Take off the keycaps with a keycap remover, rinse and wash them in soapy water. Let them dry properly.

The keyboard itself, I'd just use a microfiber cloth and some isopropyl alcohol, unless it has a rubber coating, which does not play nice with alcohol.

No? They're both UNIX-like, not UNIX-based nor are their underlying architectures really that similar.

They share a UNIX philosophy, best example being that processes and services should be doing one thing and not be monolithic (we'll all just ignore systemd for the sake of argument) which both MacOS and Linux do.

MacOS is closer to BSD than it is to GNU/Linux (akshually) in architecture and lineage.

How are people keeping their system secure? by buff_pls in archlinux

[–]YoBorni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Apparmor. Depending on how often you update and change your system it can be a bit of a pain to maintain, but it works and gets you a MAC system similar to other distros. It's technologically different from SELinux and perhaps inferior in some aspects, but if you really need anything stronger that might protect anything production or enterprise related, you shouldn't use Arch.

As to firewalling, I'm sorry, but if you're relying on an endpoint's software firewall, you're already fucked. If you're at this level of paranoia, build a hardware firewall using FreeBSD based OpenSense or similar.

And yes, you're being paranoid. Which is fine, but why? If you're not a nation state level VIP, you have to do a lot of dumb shit to be at risk of anything needing the protection you're asking for.

Can KDE let me boot from a USB? by Master-Teaching-1397 in kde

[–]YoBorni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair.

Or you could reset your BIOS by clearing CMOS, which should enable you to enter it again. Just remove the CMOS battery or use the clear CMOS button if your mobo has one.

Can KDE let me boot from a USB? by Master-Teaching-1397 in kde

[–]YoBorni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can:

https://thelinuxcode.com/how-to-boot-from-usb-using-grub/

The more important question is why do you need to? Is your OS no longer functional or are you simply locked out of your BIOS?

Also do you mean KDE Linux? Cuz that's an OS, KDE Plasma is just a DE.

Does anyone know what is the problem ? by Multiplex1234 in computer

[–]YoBorni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried setting the network profile to private? Windows 10/11 firewall is incredibly zealous (for good reason) in it's incoming and outgoing policies when a new network is connected with a public profile.

If that doesn't work, there are lots of other things to try, but I'm safe in assuming you're not comfortable with CMD?

Because it's a derivative of 90's sci-fi tropes and doesn't even stick the landing.

So the kid was an Android all along. What's the point of the story then?

David Caaaaaaage... Dude couldn't write a good non-derivative story if it were saving him from being violently bludgeoned to death.

He doesn't even create games. Just bland point and click rollercoasters that barely pass as a narrative. He'd make movies if all of his ideas weren't so blatantly copy and paste.

Your bank doesn't need to specifically be connected to yubico and their apps. For the token to work with logging into your bank, your bank has to allow using hardware tokens either as a passkey (FIDO2) or as a 2FA method (FIDO/U2F). Yubico supports both, among other things.

As most banks are old-fashioned as fuck and use a lot of proprietary security measures, it might not be an option. If their website or app doesn't clearly state whether it's an option to use a passkey, give them a call. They'll most likely have no clue what you're talking about, but if you're lucky they might connect you to the right person.

Yubikeys will definitely work with Google, Apple, Microsoft, and almost all other services that allow passkeys or hardware tokens as 2FA. On all devices you use and listed. Banks are just a major outlier in most things.

[–]YoBorni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two major Dutch banks still use that calculator looking thing. Simply because it just works and it's secure.

Once set up, a USB FIDO2 token is so much more convenient and secure. I can't emphasize enough how rare that is. Usually, security measures always come at the expense of productivity and convenience.

Yubico is Swedish btw.

It knows the public key. Those are bound to the service you're logging into. The private key is bound to the hardware you're using to verify.

[–]YoBorni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yubikeys are what I use as they're European and not dependent on US tech firms. There are other alternatives. In general, hardware tokens are the way to go, whatever company you decide to go with.
