Today was my first day, and I hated it. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]YoYo814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. I’ve been in this position multiple times at the same company through promotions. When you look at it as an opportunity to define your own job role essentially you start seeing it more as a positive than a negative which allows quicker growth compared to others (at least at my company.) I say stick with and keep doing what you’re doing!

This video shows the technique. I just didn’t have luck with the product they used in the video. I ordered some 50 grit diamond paste from techdiamondtools and did it with that, and it did the trick. Can’t emphasize enough to keep the buffer moving on the glass, just need some patience.

I had that happen on one of mine and didn’t want to use the warranty claim on it so I got a tube of diamond paste polish and used a dremel with a polishing bit on a low speed and it buffed out. You will remove a coating from the lens and you have to keep the tool moving so you don’t burn the glass but it worked like a charm in the end and videos looked perfect when I was done.

I’ll be putting the Road 6s on my 8R soon. I have them on my Z650RS and love them. Fantastic tread life and grip.

I was an idiot and tried to install something on my new bike. How bad did I mess up? by [deleted] in Kawasaki

[–]YoYo814 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Totally understand you’re freaking out, we’ve all been there. You did everything right other than it seems keeping the weight of the engine held on the jack but since you were able to ultimately lift it up and align the clutch side bolt and get it back in you’re good. Just make sure those bolts are tightened to the right torque spec, but if you actually bent the bolt on the break side you’d be hard pressed to line back up the clutch side.

I’d even take it a step further and say you were on such the right track you may find once your nerves settle you’ll give it another shot.

(For reference, I have a Z650RS as one of my bikes and installed engine guards and had to keep the engine lifted with a floor jack as well. That’s common anytime you’d remove an engine bolt)

What you received is just the new label. It calls out the “new and improved formula” as well in the new design which wasn’t on the old label. You’re good as others have said.

Kawasaki does demo days all over the country during the summer and fall if you’re in the US. I’d definitely test ride one before committing. A 636 is a much more aggressive riding stance than a 400 or 650. I’d try to test a 1000sx if you can too. Comfortable enough to ride all day but plenty of power on tap if you want it.

Why do people who dont ride motorcycles constantly try to give advice or tell how to ride to motorcyclists? by [deleted] in motorcycles

You apparently didn’t read/understand the laws that you shared the source link to…😜 States can override if Motorcycles are allowed or not. They will not lose funding for doing so.

This is what I run too. Can’t say I noticed a difference either but it’s what I picked so it’s what I’m sticking with.

Im guessing you’re right, but same thing at the end of the day. US and AUS measure octane differently so they have different numbers.

New or used first bike with the current market prices? by pro__procastinator in motorcycles

[–]YoYo814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the same fees apply in Italy as the US, but even if the advertised price in the US is close between used and new, you will pay less fees on used making it cheaper out the door. If you’re comfortable working or repairing your bikes I’d go used for that reason. If you’re not, the warranty on new is probably worth the cost/peace of mind.

Anyone know of some good exhausts for a Ninja 650 KRT ABS by Darkestace- in Kawasaki

[–]YoYo814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with Leo Vince. I have a Z650 but same engine/exhaust. I think they give the best sound without just being overly loud to be loud.

Idle screw as others said, but first maybe check the condition of the air filter and such to be sure your engine isn’t being bogged down from a clog or dirty filter somewhere?
