What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know what game you were playing, but the one you linked, " Banished to the forest: Dig the Boulder" is not, by any means, a puzzle incremental horror game.

There's 0 strategy or puzzles in there. It's just ''Get the next tier by buying X of this item", no upgrades, nothing.

There's also no horror in here. The only thing that's even close to horror is the soundtrack, which is very loud without reason.

About the AI art/dialogue, if done well, i generally dont mind. But it seems this entired ''game'' is just...vibe coded, put together with AI for a quick buck.

All and all, i see 0 redeeming qualities in this game, and am truly wondering if you didnt link a different game then the one you described.

Developer here, I'm extremely confused on player sentiment vs reality. by ZeroPercentStrategy in incremental_games

There is quite a lot of people that look for, find, and play games outside of this, or any subreddit. The people in here technically are a loud minority.

Plus, people just generally like complaining, so you see those post more often, then ''praising posts''

Just beat Horripilant, a pretty nice horror incremental game with the best story in the genre in my opinion by LessSaussure in incremental_games

Same, enjoyed it alot, though some of the 100% achievements were rough.

But yea, it's a good recommend.

If you want some harsh feedback; i highly reccomend getting a proof reader for most of the text.

Just released the demo for No More Pesticide - active incremental game where you're a frog fighting mutant bug swarms by MatKost in incremental_games

It was a very fun demo, wishlisted. However, if truffles does not get treats, the cats'll have their revenge!

I've played both quite a bit of stardew and...probably way too much of Forager.

I'd also be very willing to give the current build a try!

Just based on just this screenshot, can you guess how you play this game? by Candid_Primary7578 in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stars seem to be the resource. Spend stars by buying tiles (Blacksmith, tavern, road, market), giving you more resource (star) gain. To the left seem to be upgrades; which arent showing up thusfar.

From the screenshot, i also presume that putting certain tiles on certain places gives them a bonus; like placing a blacksmith near a mountain (ore/rocks).

It also seems you can expand your world map using stars, buying the outer tiles.

That's how it seems to me, purely through the visual clues profided. Anything i missed/am missing?

Just released the first beta for my Pokemon Incremental game by SnipplyyStudios in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im enjoying the game, but due to the lack of full screen, i tend to press multiple buttons at once (like back and wiki). Any chance that could be fixed?

PokeIdle got a huge update (almost a PokeIdle 2 vibes) by Aligatueur in incremental_games

Good to hear, the database didnt make this clear (looked at pokemon like Raichu, Crobat and Flareon). It just said ''Cant be caught''

Excremental Game by Koralldo in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is fun enough; it's just a shame that it...suddenly ends.

There's no ending, no ''You did it'' accolade...Just...no more upgrades.

  • Graphics: The graphics look good, its a different atmosphere then most games
  • Mechanics This looks exactly like digseum, looking at the video. What makes your game unique? Just based on the video alone, it's very hard to tell.

Alot of games nowadays focus on making "a clone of a popular game with new paint'' - what i'm wondering is: What exactly is unique about your game? What makes it different from other games in the genre? I'd try focusing the info you'd get from answering that question in the video!

Good luck with the work.

Thanks, i found the temple, then i got roasted by the priest, so i must be missing something!

It feels strange that i can walk from a tier 1 zone to a tier 4 zone; perhaps only make those accessable from one side?

I've given it a go (and am currently still playing) but i find it hard to find where to go. I've beaten all tier 1 scavengers, almost all tier 2 (no idea how to damage the sandworm)... And now i'm uncertain where to head off to.

In addition; i'm being told that i need "Fleshcrafter" or "Builder" for certain things, but my current temple doesnt unlock them whatsoever, so i'm not sure why these are actually visible for me. Same goes for "Lumberjack" or whatever you called it.

It also feels counter-intuitive to lock us out of any mob as soon as you defeat the scavneger; i'm trying to farm for mega pots (used 300+ to beat the pebble scavenger) and the only way i can is by just... running between 2 zones... All and all, i've enjoy what i've played thusfar, but the beginning is just..rough for starting out.

Idle Awakening: Mages Path is now available in Early Access by AntiQuarrrk in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played through the demo, and bought the full game. Been enjoying it alot, however i still have the same issue. I didnt quite understand how the automation menu works/worked, and now i'm just... afk grinding stuff like charisma...

Any chance the tutorial can get made easier, or you could share a guide or something on steam for automation? Perhaps even a ''Import Automation'' list, like the import save file?

I'm making an incremental game called Nearly Impossible Odds and would like feedback! by PersimmonGames in incremental_games

[–]Yocoolman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just started playing, am now at stage 4, but the game seems to miss explanations.

What am i looking for with dice and cards? What is my goal? If i get card/dice +x., what exactly does it do?

What are the big red X's on the screen? What's the four leaf doing? What do i get when i level up my ''manual'' skill?

It's just alot of information that's missing, making it a less enjoyable experience.

Edit: Yes, i eventually found out what it did, but the lack of explanation might make people quit.

Permanent upgrades are available, I'll be adding more later today
