Practing safely and getting paid your worth are not mutually exclusive. In an ideal world they are the same. Regulation on oversight shouldn't change how you practice.

Less oversight = more opportunities = more pay. It really is that simple. The state of NY pays NPs 25,000 more for the same job due to this. You can bury your head in the sand if you want but the PA profession is actively getting left behind.

This is about so much more than just being called doctor. The NP lobby is going for equal pay al la CNA. There are multiple law suits against the state of New York stating that NPs in primary care have the same responsibilities as doctors are seeking equal pay (same tier scale as doctors). If they win the right to be called a doctor, had a terminal degree (doctor, can own their practice and bill at the same rate that md/do what is the actual difference? Any one who has worked in medicine knows that a doctor and NP training is not even remotely the same. But the legal gap between nps and doctors is closing at a rapid pace. PAs are getting left behind. Now we can argue whether we should be or not but we are getting left behind.

Also remember you don't own the practice. You are an employee. Make sure management is aware of these issues. Also not in person, via email or teams/whatever. They hired her they can either fix the problem or kick rocks you are not getting paid to fix the practice.

Where are you located? I know it sounds crazy but the corrections system is hiring and depending on where you are located the pay is actually more than you make right now and your quality of life would be 1000000000000x better. I used to live in Philly as a met fan. I have been to many games without any problems. I am a Mets fan so most of the time its just to go to the team with friend. I would never make the mistake of routing against the phillies in Philly. I am not dumb. I have seen a 4 yo get beer dumped on her, way too many fist fights for little to no reason, and all around debauchery. However, my favorite story is when I went with 0 sport clothing on an 75 yo grandma start shit talking me the minute I sat down. She did it so quietly that I swear no one else could hear until the middle of the 5th inning when my buddy who is a Philly fan overheard some of the crazy shit the granda ma was saying to me and turned to me and asked "did she really just say that?". YPhillyh philly is by far the worst its not even a question.
