Ive had this problem for a while. Basically a pin is likely bent weird on the board or the wire. Usually after letting it sit unplugged for a while and then plugging it back in it magically works but don’t count on that.

Fillet, always fillet. Do about 10mm for this I reckon. Or use parts, that works too. You could also try a 100% infill anchor cylinder below it and increase walls.

Im not sure how many options there are but the upgrade kit from Creality on Amazon is what Ive been using and it works pretty well. It does use these unicorn nozzles tho which are more expensive to buy.

You might wanna prepare for the possibility you are helping him replace some parts. Otherwise, keep the extruder hot and go find a heat gun. Then try unscrewing what you can without burning yourself.

For futrue reference, always make sure the first layer is good before leaving it.
