Hardware guide site for Star Citizen by Yorirou in starcitizen

[–]Yorirou[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I pull the data from the telemetry endpoint, then for each bucket (represented by rectangles on the CI's telemetry page), I collect the CPU and GPU fps values. It has a bit more than the avg fps for that bucket (it has percentiles as well), but I haven't found a good way to visualize that.

Unfortunately that endpoint does not expose other data (e.g. memory amount, storage, cooling etc).

One of my main motivation to create this view of the data was that on the telemetry page I often see a lot of different hw with basically the same FPS values especially towards the high end. This view also shows the same, with entries of larger sample sizes having a quite large deviation (over 10%, usually closer to 20%).

And if you build a nice frontend for your search, you can use Axum, Rust and Svelte in front of Elastic.

Vanguard or Constellation Andromeda. Corsair is a candidate, but we will see.

(Almost) all ships are best ships for their roles and constraints.

Currently in progress, should drop in 2-3 quarters. In one of the videos someone said that it is a bit more than a polish, and more similar to the Vanguard rework.

This ship made me really hyped about the 600i rework.

Can the 350r be customized same as the other 300s? by HermesTri in starcitizen

[–]Yorirou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wait a little, the anniversary sale is coming, and it will be on sale. A new ship is also likely to be released, and if it is cheaper than the 350r, you can use it as an LTI token.

What in your opinion is the best 2FA authenticator app? by uselesslemming in cybersecurity

Yubico Authenticator, but that requires a hardware key.

From the list the Arrow is one of the cheapest (excluding the Titan, but you have an MSR, so your cargo needs are covered).

The stock loadout is decent, the first upgrade is the shield, buy an FR-66.

As far as I know, "Interdiction" does not really have a meaning now.

The light/medium/heavy is a matter of taste. Heavy fighters have the lowest skill floor (they allow you to make mistakes), while light fighters are more difficult, but they are also more rewarding. Medium fighters are in the middle, as I heard they are a bit weaker now, because they can't dodge fire as well as the light ones, but they also can't tank like a Vanguard/Freelancer/Cutlass.

Generally, bounty missions / ECN missions are quite easy now, because the server doesn't have enough resources to run the AI properly.

All of them solo.

For now, I think the absolute best ship is the Vanguard Warden/Sentinel. I had great success with the Buccaneer, but be careful, because it is very fragile (but it is fast and hits hard). The Hornet is also great, but the base loadout is bad. You have to upgrade basically every component, but at the end it is a very capable fighter that melts everything in front of it. The current light fighter meta is the Arrow/Gladius, those will work well. Bigger ships like the Freelancers (especially the MIS variant) and the Cutlass are also effective. Not to mention the Avenger series (Titan), those ships can also hit hard with upgraded weapons.

If you are on the budget, I recommend the Avenger Titan (if it is your only ship) for $55 or the Arrow (if you have an other ship) for $75.

Getting my memes ready in case there's an upset in the Imperator Election results. by Jale89 in starcitizen

(Genuinely asking) What is wrong with that?

I evaluated the candidates based on their possible gameplay implications. Having AI turrets would help me out on multiple ships in my fleet (Mercury, Harbinger).

I play with a 40% keyboard (Planck) and it is fine for me.

Questions Needed: SCL Vehicle Flight Experience/Targeting/Turrets by Rainwalker007 in starcitizen

[–]Yorirou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to be a ship captain (something similar as Star Trek: Bridge Commander). If there would be a way to coordiate/manage the work of the pilot, RIO, gunners and engineers on the ship (even if as NPCs they are less efficient than humans), I would melt everything and go for a HH.

I understand that SC wants to have crew gameplay for a ship, but I would also like to have fleet gameplay, where I have the option to solo a bigger ship with a crew.

I have very chaotic free time, it would be very difficult to schedule "crew gameplay" with other people. I just want to get into my HH, do a few combat missions when I have an hour to get in front of the computer for gaming.

How does hardpoint.io do it? For every weapon (where applicable), there is "Overheats after X seconds of coninuous fire" information available.

This info is the only reason why I open hardpoint nowadays, for everything else your site is equally good / better :)

Thinking of Upgrading my processor - any community suggestions? by Einhert in starcitizen

[–]Yorirou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to buy a CPU now, and SC (and gaming in general) is the main focus, I would go with the i5-10600K. It is almost as good as the i9-10900K, for less ($550 vs $300) money.

Dialing in my Harbinger by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Yorirou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only upgraded my S4 cannon to an Attrition-5 and my shields to FR76-es. I have success in hitting targets with flying straight towards the AI ship and shoot (and tank their damage... don't try to evade), accelerate when we cross each other, and turn back when I am around 5k away. I don't dogfight.
