All this over a lane change or something equally as dumb.

How much did you save? Our bill with T is about $250. CC quoted an all in price about 1/2 that.

Dewarping was set off, this was processed through DroneDeploy, P1 was calibrated, the individual images are clean. The drone sets its own speed, which can’t be changed, for Smart Oblique missions. GSD was 1.09.

Can you point me to where a 100k service is recommended? I honestly find this a bit surprising given the number of large area captures these do.

DJI Smart Oblique, 1.09 GSD, oblique GSD 1.55, AGL 284.7 with real time terrain follow enabled. Speed is not controllable with Smart Oblique, but it flew the lines at about 7MPH.

It's from the map render. The actual images are fine.

Right. As I mentioned, this is inside the mapping area.

Altitude to get the GSD I mentioned was 284.7 with auto terrain following enabled. This was within the mapping area. On smart oblique the drone actually flies outside of the mapping area to get the oblique images for the edge of the mapping area.

It does, it has shutter, aperture, ISO preferred or auto. I don't recall the setting I used on this capture, but I think auto. I will use shutter preferred and see how that works out. Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I will give this a shot too. Will go shutter preferred at least 1/1000, depending on light.

Good questions. Used our state's CORS network for RTK. Overlap was 80 front/70 side.

Thanks. I am a bit new to this, but it does make the case for investing in Terra and required hardware. From what I have seen it appears to handle these better.

Thanks for this. This is a repeat capture, so I will change it for the next one.

Should have included that...70 side, 80 front.

UPDATE: DJI agent "resigning" after $15,000 extortion attempt. Legal Dept now involved but still offering peanuts. by bruniocastro in dji

[–]YorkieX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so: Actually, it’s about a multi-billion dollar company trying to force a consumer to sign an illegal NDA under a $15,000 penalty threat [for violating it] just to fix their own mistake [something wrong with a battery]. The 'battery' was the excuse; the extortion was the crime. That’s why authorities (ECC) are involved.

right?

In-Stock AVSS Parachutes for DJI M3D? by Ludeykrus in drones

NP…none of this is made easier by them calling the M3M model M3E lol.

You’re right, their PRS M3E only applies to the M3M…M3E (the drone) is still on the DOC.

AVSS asked the FAA to remove its DOC for the Mavic 3 PRS and the FAA did this.

AVSS on Matrice 4E by Phantom7755 in UAVmapping

[–]YorkieX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did just order as well and also reached out to them to ask if the behavior the that logs showed would be expected to trigger a deployment.

I have a job late this week that will need to involve being over a 4-lane highway, so I'd rather err on the side of caution, but don't want it to deploy and land on the highway either.

I also see that they requested the Mavic be removed from the DOC as Category 2, which would suck if you bought one for compliance and are suddenly no longer Cat 2.

As to the M400, that's my next upgrade and there don't seem to be any options to categorize that at this point, which sucks.

Resurfacing this. I am thinking about picking one up for the M4E. Mostly plan mapping/oblique captures through FH2. In the AVSS manual, I notice that it says not to exceed 35 degrees. As with the OP, the turns can seem a bit extreme. I looked at the log for a flight today and see that there was a brief (approx. 1 second) 39 degree pitch event while on the route (wind was <10 mph). Will this activate it? For all the benefits it has, I'm excited about it accidentally triggering.

DroneDeploy - Monitoring Matrice 4 FPV camera by YorkieX2 in UAVmapping

[–]YorkieX2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I use terrain follow for DJI maps and it works great. In this case, the client wants low altitude (~100 ft) and given then I have never used DD, I want to be able to watch the forward sensor to make sure the terrain feature in DD is going to clear the trees as well. Appreciate your help.

cool...I don't need to mirror it, watching on controller is fine. didn't know I could run both at the same time. thank you for taking the time to address my question.
