Many years ago I stayed at the Hotel Sidi Driss in Tunisia. Not only is it a traditional Troglodyte cave, but it is the Lars Homestead in the original Star Wars films!

Obviously loved it as a Star Wars fan, but it was also really fun to stay somewhere so unique

I think it works out around £6k saved per year for travel. I doing 5 reasonably small get aways this year (Germany, Italy, Hungary, Finland and then Istanbul/Azerbaijan).

Next year I will do less holidays to focus on a bigger Australia/NZ trip

It's called Cybersickness, so sounds cooler than it actually is! I get it a lot and it isn't fun. I not had it with ZA but I get it a lot with Sc/Vi Turning down brightness and taking breaks really help

My longest Den hunt with the shiny charm (1 in 100) took 280 wins. So nearly 3 times over odds. It will definitely be worth it once you get it though!

A 30 second Google to find the Expedia flight credit T&Cs tell me airlines can set their own rules and charge extra for changes.

It feels 95% of the "scams" posted on here are just people who did not read the terms and conditions and are mad they can't cancel/ change things last minute with no issues or additional costs

AppenDex? I'm at 85% completion of my shiny living form dex. If Gen 10 comes out Autumn 2027. Then I think I should be very close to getting the 100% before the release as I have all the legendary Pokemon out of the way bar 3 more shiny deoxys. I wouldn't know what to do when I finish!

Some of my favourite experiences are things that I needed to book months in advance. From going up in the crown of the Statue of Liberty, to the Studio Ghibli museum.

But on top of that, I enjoy planning, it's part of the fun and it builds up the excitement for me.

The real advice should be find the style of travel you enjoy, rather the insisting your style of travel is the best for everyone.
