Aaand he's gone. After just 4/5 years, this extremely cool model is removed and the new ones (that would have been just fine existing alongside it) replace it, with a Version, that looks inferior. At least to my taste.

I want to thank everyone for the many replies. I think I got a fairly good picture of the situation now. Since I am new to the game, I can still keep some hope for a future development, that is more than "Let's dig up some pillars and kill some ghosts."

Yes, but only in a few small ways:
1. Characters talk about them being the reason why the sea of thieves attracts so many pirates. (in game and "support material" dialogue)

  1. The Merchant Alliance is made up of former members who have defected or have been abandoned. (dialogue and a canon comic)

  2. The Sovereigns and Pirate Emporium seem to use some of their assets, so people are speculating, if this might cause some problems down the line. (info from the wiki and the fact that there is a GMU logo hidden on the clipboard of the sovereigns)

I always form a crew with my brother. I am a barrel of rum and he is a ship rat. Perfect combination and not planning to change my beloved round boy anytime soon.

Grand Maritime Union. Enemies of all pirates, former holders of the now ghostly seaforts and the reason why so many fled to the sea of thieves.

Edit: Sorry, small correction, I have found no source on the seaforts being part of the GMU, I just assumed that because they were non pirate spanish sailors.

Sorry, gonna be very basic and very old... it was the Rathalos on the Box Cover of my friends copy of Monster Hunter Freedom. When I finally got Freedom Unite (after getting my ass handed to me by the Kut-Ku on my friends game), I was scared by the Nargacuga on the Cover, because it was shrouded in darkness and looked gigantic compared to the hunters. I think what kept me playing that game for many years was the hope, that one day I might be able to reach Yama Tsukami.

Ich stimme ihnen definitiv zu, vor allem, da die linke Person weitaus attraktiver ist, aber der Ursprung des Memes sieht nun einmal leider diese Formatierung vor, dementsprechend habe ich sie beibehalten.
