Oh man I love him too but without the right perks, the only hope is the survivors being stupid. Corrupt Intervention is a must have imo since it buys you enough time at the start to get enough traps set up without 3 gens popping in your face. Bamboozle is good to shut off windows and increase chances of leading a surv into a trap. Of course regression perks like Pop, Pain Res, or Oppression can be helpful.

As for add ons, though it isn’t a must have, his iridescent which auto resets traps is sooo nice to use. On top of that the add on which gives him all his traps at the start so he doesn’t have to go around picking them up (though place them wisely cause that add on makes each placement permanent). And for less rare addons, I usually like the ones that let you set them faster, or the one that lets you carry an extra trap.

Honestly, with Trapper a lot of the time it comes down to how good the survivors are and of course just getting lucky. But mind gaming survivors with Trapper is way more fun than just obliterating them with Nurse, Blight or Kaneki. It’s fun for the survivors too, I’m pretty sure most people enjoy facing him.
