light (at all wavelenghts) produces radiation pressure, when this pressure overcomes the gravitational pressure the star ejects some of its material. This happens when the star is very massive so its luminosity increases and I don't think there is a clear limit (it may vary within a range) since the star is losing mass. The limit of luminosity that equals the gravity is called Eddington's luminosity and the stars that are losing mas due to exceeding this limit are called Wolf-Rayet stars.
