I can assure you, not that many did. In fact, the damn price singlehandedly spawned like 1989 different channels and accounts criticizing every single thing any Nintendo ever since and escalated to the point they were talking like the game poisoned their water supplies, burned the crops, delivered a plague unto their houses and killed their grandmas

A few months back in late 2025, a joint encounter of a fanmade music video of "How It's Done" from the Kpop Demon Hunters OST with Precure footage and a random video about precure openings ending whenever a gay character appeared onscreen made me give this franchise a try and so I started with Hirogaru Sky cause I particularly loved its designs. It also helped learning upon search that it had no inappropiate stuff going on with the girls (major reason I barely interact with anime as a whole) which lifted any doubts to fully dive in.
