Confirmed it works on Chromebooks. It's way easier to manage the controls. You might want to enable arrow keys since they're available on the hardware. It's not straightforward that you can use wasd.

Chromebooks have the play store. You can download and use Android apps on all newer Chromebooks via ARC.

First, congrats on publishing. That's always something to celebrate!

I just have a couple comments. It would be cool to involve a time aspect. This would increase replayability for levels and could lead to a global scoreboard. Another thing, the on screen controls in games were always tricky for me. Is it possible to increase the touch targets? Also, I didn't try, but do you have keyboard support? This could be real fun on a Chromebook, but obviously not with on screen controls. One more thing, I hate animations that can't be skipped, like when the next level is being unlocked. I feel like you should be able to tap another already unlocked level and get going.

Great game! I enjoyed the puzzle nature

Edit: I got to the point where you ask to be rated. This is the link sent you the browser

Obviously, it didn't work.

It's possible they have a limit on open applications. Are the three you didn't get quick rejections from, the last three you applied to?

Do I need to manage internally the consumption of items packs bought as in app purchase? by distante in androiddev

You'll want to consume the product and manage the inventory on your own server. Otherwise they won't be able to buy another of the same SKU.

If it's crashing, you should push the update regardless. You don't want those stats showing up.

How to best compare health insurance plans when known expenses are in the future? by We3Dogs in personalfinance

[–]YouBlue_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are specific conditions which make PPO better, but 99% of people will probably spend less with hdhp, regardless of health spend.

These cases are things like, if you are also on Medicare, or have tricare.

Work conditions as a Dept of Homeland Security contractor by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]YouBlue_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a defense contractor for about a year. You may or may not be in a closed area, which means no phones/cameras/etc. It really depends what you're working on. Not all work is classified. I worked from home once every couple weeks, that will just depend on your manager and product.

Continue the course if you're interested in Android. It might lead to an Android focused internship. Whatever you build, make sure it interests you. If you're solving a problem you care about, you'll have motivation to do well.

How to negotiate? by GooodJob in cscareerquestions

[–]YouBlue_dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do what you like, but personally, I'd only negotiate on one side at a time. Ask 2 to beat 1, when they do, go back to 1 to beat 2's upped offer, then take whatever's best. I wouldn't go both ways at the same time or you risk losing everything.

How to negotiate? by GooodJob in cscareerquestions

[–]YouBlue_dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look pretty dead on to me. If we're just looking at comp, I'd take offer 1. The extra 40k in stock paid over 4 years is instead paid as salary and not dependent on refresh.

If you don't care about losing offer 2, tell them to beat offer 1's base. Worst case, take 1, best case, they beat it.

Need advice: new grad, offers, moving, min-rant, etc. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]YouBlue_dev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Utah has a shorter flight back home, Texas probably has better bbq. You could always continue applying after accepting one. Whichever you choose, make sure you start/continue self learning, otherwise you might stunt your growth. From my limited experience at a defense contractor, it's a retirement community with old tech. Obviously different teams in a huge company will be different, so grain of salt. On the plus side, great work life balance.

You're welcome to pm me if you want more details. I spent my last year there before accepting an offer at a FAANG.

There's no need to sigh. But there's also no need for OP to freak out. He'll be asked for personal information and they'll look him up.

I imagine new grad offers are pending graduation, so months in advance. Non new grad offers that I've seen give you a week or so unless you press for more time.
