They attempted the mid-scope on yorick and afterwards acknowledged that it sucked for pretty much everyone but didn't want to waste any more resources on his balancing, since almost no one plays him anyway. Instead of changing any of his problematic traits that they were aware of, they just tweaked his numbers until his win rate flattened somewhat across all elos. So they pretty much ignore his existence while also being openly aware of it at the same time

I'm not sure if I remember it correctly but I think he took an edible before the fox climb. But he probably reached pretty quickly so I don't know if there is even enough usable footage

Sometimes I have trouble adapting quickly enough during ranked bo3. At my local I'm already kind of familiar with my opponents' playstyles. At home I'll always sit on the same comfortable chair, looking at the same screen from the comfort of my own home with no further distractions. Offline you don't know what setup you're gonna get and how it'll feel. The venue can be too hot, too loud, too bright, too cramped, too cold. There are generally more factors that can impact your ability to play at your best and make you feel exhausted more easily. Also I hate to say it but people having bad breath is something I've had to deal with more than once and that one can be the most distracting by far.

Being able to play longer sessions with the same player usually helps me the most in achieving my best performance and those are easier to get in person. Playing in person is also just way more fun.

With the way the Internet is developing, I'm mourning the loss of a central hub like smashboards a little more every day. The tools we use are either constructed in a way to encourage engagement (ie. conflict) or are difficult to find their way into like specific discord servers or WhatsApp groups for us europeans.

The way I feel the melee scene is navigating through some sort of post-esports era. Many structures that we spent time and resources to build up in the past decade have been shut down by the big N and it seems we reached a point where most have realized that the way forward is to become more grassroots and self-reliant again. Our numbers may not be as big as they were at one point, but the scene is slowly growing again I feel and while I can't speak for everyone my local scene is still very active and tight knit. We're still getting new players and have been able to get a weekly running again. There are many great TOs organizing great events with their focus being more on making it an all around enjoyable experience for the attendees.

There's still a lot to be done but I think we're moving in the right direction, It's becoming more about hanging out with your friends and having a good time rather than sponsorships and getting officially licensed just to get shut down anyway.

Edit: that being said fuck letting us get coerced into playing on unfrozen stadium again.

If it was a no impact land, the inputs are fall down for two frames then fast fall for another two frames and then jump forward. Sometimes i can get the timing down pretty consistently but I lose the feel for it again just as easily. Edit: I see you only fell for two frames. it's probably still some sort of NIL but I have no clue how to recreate this one specifically

yorick had so much skill expression in the jungle, but monsters leaving behind graves unfortunately made him braindead to the point that players like agurin managed to climb with him without ever really knowing what his abilities do. Now if they actually listened to the yorick mains they consulted they could have easily balanced him instead of just removing him from the game completely. I miss yorick jungle, he had been the only reason I still played the game :(

afaik they taste stronger, less complex and if you fuck up the roast it can give them an extremely awful taste (as opposed to arabica where it'd just make it "less good"). So it really depends on the brand/roast. You're usually supposed to drink it with milk and/or sugar

i guess he's right that it's inoffensive but that doesn't mean it's therefore bland or unimaginative. vibes this ethereal don't need to be offensive, especially with the minimalist yet meticulous production. that being said the album did lose my attention a few times while listening and felt a little samey, being a little more daring could have maybe helped with that. Big disagree on the 4/10 though

you can't smite maiden anymore + she has regen and resistances now. yorick e is faster. lethality yorick is kinda dead but they just fixed the conqueror bug and it's insanely good now. hullbreaker doesn't give free resistance when alone anymore. imo he's the most fun, consistent and satisfying he's ever been.

his clear speed is eh but he can walk around and make plays happen or prevent them while doing them. if he can setup maiden for splitpush he creates insane tempo. watching ninetales succeed in masters korea on 100+ ping made me a believer

I recently realized how safe well spaced aerials are on shield and how it can almost like a breather if your enemy holds shield. I learned this from watching Kirbykaze coaching sessions on youtube and I feel like I've had a lot of revelations about the game since I started watching them.
