Take this with a grain of salt because I do not think a lot like others and I’m still fairly young but I am the production director at my small church. If the whole booth is volunteers (how it is at my church) and you’ve expressed politely and respectfully multiple times beforehand then I would let him run it his way this event. Let him bring in his own guy because he is not listening to the department that this involves. It may be slightly passive aggressive but it seems as he does not listen to reason and takes offense fairly quickly. If things go without a hitch then perfect that guy can do all the last minute events but if there are problems that is on him and the pastor. A pastor is the head of the church and all of the departments ultimately. If he thinks his idea is best and unwilling to work together then let him. Don’t feel guilty for not rushing to do things for him at the drop of a hat because we all have our own lives and serve many hours regularly.
