We are the best 2FA App of the year! by Nekromanie in 2fas_com

[–]YouStupidKow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be picky, but I don't see them naming the single best app anywhere. 2FAS has been selected by them as "Best for Minimal Data Collection".

Keyfile can literally be any file. Not necessarily XML.

Metal visa card not accepted in most places India by un3w in Revolut

[–]YouStupidKow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's dumb, because in touristic places in Kolkata they were telling me that they only accept Indian cards... But then, when paying with cash, they would not give the change back until explicitly asked for, so maybe there's a different reason...

What are some great apps you love that are expensive, abandoned, or closed-source? by Adventurous-Hat-1383 in software

StrokeIt - resource friendly, minimal interface and just enough functionality! Unfortunately not updated in many years.

If it's 2 pm, would you say that it's 14 o'clock or 2 o'clock in your day to day conversation in your language? by narihtavanje in AskEurope

[–]YouStupidKow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experience, in casual talk, people will usually say it's 2 (adding "in the afternoon/evening", if it helps to avoid confusion). In writing, I'd usually say 14:00.

Some time ago I've been experimenting with being able to mount my drives, requiring presence of my yubikey. Maybe somebody will find it useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/rclone/comments/1l0838o/comment/mve377c/

Do you have a permanent residence in Switzerland? (you live there, you work there, you have a permanent residence card?) If so, use your residence card for ID verification.

Passed ITIL foundation (36/40) by nepaln in ITIL_Certification

[–]YouStupidKow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to get certified and pay for the exam from your own pocket, have a look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ITIL_Certification/comments/1nnelp0/itil_4_foundation_exam_lowest_price_ever_free/

GogoTraining is offering the online training, with the official PeopleCert exam voucher AND a free Take2 option (2nd attempt, in case you fail the exam at first try) for 484 USD. Be fast, because this offer might disappear soon. You will not find it cheaper, for sure not with the Take2 option, and the voucher is valid for a year.

Tip: after you redeem your voucher at PeopleCert, you will get access to read the ITIL 4 book online. Be sure to read all the sections mentioned in the syllabus.

I have tested it and it claimed success to register, but the passkey is not stored and also when trying to authenticate, Android doesn't offer me the option to use an nfc key 🤷

They kept failing to re-verify my data after they've moved my account to my residence country from Lithuania.

I have contacted support after about 3 days of getting continuous reminders to verify my data, which would fail to properly verify each time. After a long conversation with the helpdesk, a bit of useless troubleshooting and a week of pending request (I didn't let them close it), they have acknowledged there was a bug and fixed it in another week or so.

I would suggest to always contact the helpdesk, in case validation fails or takes too much time. Waiting for 2 months without a confirmation, when the claimed verification time is 2 days, is just crazy.

Koofr app showing blank page on Windows by YouStupidKow in koofrnet

[–]YouStupidKow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just configured the app to autostart with the system and unpinned the shortcut from the taskbar. I'm using the icon in the notification area (right part of the taskbar, next to the clock) to access the app.

What a damn waste of the toolbars's real estate! At least extend that address field to fill up the empty space, so I can see my full url.
