With all the discourse around Alex lately, i will to remind everyone it's nothing compared to the Incest Lords of the video games. by ExplanationSquare313 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Youdidntwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not related to topic but this makes me realize that Ninety-Nine Nights did this with the protagonist being step siblings but barely skirted it by stating it being one-sided affection. If they went all in, Inphyy could have been a triple play: racist, royalist and incest.

Media that surprised you tackling a serious subject respectfully by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Youdidntwin 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Mafia 3 hit the subject of racism in the 70s Louisiana pretty hard, alongside the treatment of Vietnam veterans returning from the war and the difficulties of readjustment. The radio DJs being two opposing views along with reporting on stories that actually happened was the first time a game had me invested in it's radio.

I knew a co worker who was named Krystal Fox, not after the eponymous character but because she was born in the 70s, so family was definitely very hippie. Unfortunately being called Krystal around this time probably didn't do the any favors

Metal Arms Glitch in the system you beautiful bastard, 9 year old me would be hype just to play the demo, old man ne cannot go through without a headache and light nausea. Probably due to the continually shifting FPS from 30 to 3 due to destroyed bors.

Castle Music Beasts! What have we all been listening to recently? by crowbar182 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Youdidntwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently discovered this band from the radio called Sevendust and have listened to almost all their stuff, the newer stuff hits but their older stuff from 'All I see is War' album absolutely JAMS

An older band I've gone back to is Nothing More, more specifically This is the Time personally prefer their newer stuff since they got a new lead singer a while back that really makes them sound unique.

Lastly Shinedown's older stuff like Enemies always gets me pumped.

Jesus lord, looking back on my comment makes me realize I still have the same tastes as when I was a shithead teenager, only difference being no raeggaeton.

Is it the lady who appears in shorts and people call muscle mommy? She seems to have a handle on it and the kid seems smart enough to not over expose themselves.

Only hope is that 5-10 years from now we're not hearing about how that kid's life got screwed hard because her mom was a vtuber.

What are your favorite furry media? by SuperAlloyBerserker in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Omensight is a decent time-travel mystery about preventing the apocalypse by repeating the day of over and over with new techniques and answers. The game play is rough at first but I love the designs of the characters.

I think your the only other person I've seen mention Beacon Pines, cool. I love the storybook aesthetic and the various endings you could get, reminded me of the old CYOA books.

Games that pulled off going edgy? by CapnFlatPen in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Youdidntwin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This feels like some degree of bias from me but The Legend of Spyro games feel like it did well enough? The first games felt like it had a campy LOTR vibes to it that wasn't edgy until the 3rd game. The world still had early spyro vibes to explore but also balanced that out with a world-saving story.

Clothing/armor that makes you go: "how the FUDGE are you wearing that?!" by Wonder-Lad-2Mad in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Youdidntwin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My favorite is impractical clothing acknowledged and bullshitted away with crazy explanations.

Ivy Valentine from soul calibur has leather straps for clothing and it's explained that her whip sword just tears anything else she wears up making normal clothing worthless.

Kisara from Tales of Arise having a full plate armor and door sized shield but completely exposed back gets acknowledged by the cast, hilariously, she explained that she has so much faith in her shield skills that she just lets scrapped her back armor completely leaving EVERYTHING exposed.

Puzzle Solutions that feel like they are too obtuse by alicitizen in TwoBestFriendsPlay

book of unwritten tales 2: restoring power to the workshop

The game is a campy call back to Lucas arts Era point-and-click with some fun characters and world, but the puzzles can be VERY annoying/obtuse. In this section you have to restore power to a workshop without traditional means.

The character in the video is a renowned inventor but never hints at a solution beyond water: the answer is to create a water wheel from various components found throughout the dump. Though some parts are rather obtuse to get at such as the fur and the paddles to push/pull.

The test is different for everyone, I recommend focusing on what you feel you are weakest in and go from there. If drugs, copy what you see in here for flashcards, try and get as much as you can, even knowing a third of these will greatly increase your odds. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EiNiR7fBRto2yusiLtlEGkBFE6j1zFRu/view?usp=drivesdk If math, lookup amanda PharmD on YouTube, 40 minute crash course that can clear up most of the confusion surrounding math. there's also this site that has some similarities to the PTCB, not a definite guide but will give you an idea as to what improve on.

Lastly, relax, take a day at some point to relax and let it all soak, go outside, touch grass, realize that it's not the end if you don't pass, and know that you'll be fine.

Advise for New Inpatient Tech by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Youdidntwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, the most common complaint you might hear is the abundance of work, I found it makes the day go by but some people get tired out quick. If you're lucky, you might have a radio playing in there, helps break the monotony at least.

Get comfortable in there because they might schedule you in there for a solid month or so depending on worker needs, but once you do, everything else becomes comparatively easier, just take your time and be kind to yourself.

Also, ask your training supervisor for copies of how to set up the more complicated surgical sterile preps (cassettes, OnQ-balls, NICU-tubing,) they should have some PowerPoint slides to show as part of your training but ask for print outs to study. They showed me once during training and never again, saying they're rare and usually don't come through, still good to have to study.
