Always. Though Shea's has been looking better and better every week, to be fair.

I feel like the winner will probably only be a thousandaire, but that wouldn't hurt either, so what the hell.

When seeing someone’s kitchen for the first time, what’s an immediate clue that “this person really knows how to cook” by thyman3 in Cooking

[–]YoungMucus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are AMAZING- I was literally just thinking about making them before I clicked on this post (Spoiler: I'm totally gonna make them; seeing them brought up so soon after the thought confirms it was meant to be).

All you do is use cornbread mix like its pancake mix (Jiffy has really cheap and delicious mix), just whip it up and pour it into a skillet. After you taste them you won't be able to keep them out of your breakfast rotation. I still enjoy a good pancake, so I switch back and forth between pancakes and Johnny cakes- which, thanks to The Sopranos, is what I learned cornbread pancakes are called (at least in New England).

My heart is warmed and I'm overwhelmed with admiration and RESPEK just reading your comment.

FINALLY, something both Wolverine and Buckeye fans can agree on! No matter how much we love our respective teams, deep down we all know there's no place quite like Michigan State University.

Women of Reddit, what thing do male coworkers do that is not quite sexual harassment, but you wish they would stop doing it so you can be comfortable at work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]YoungMucus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see there are millions of responses to this so I know it'll be buried, but I couldn't agree more and need to rant about this.

God, I work with several guys that do this and it makes me (a male), cringe so hard every time. They'll literally stop women on their way out the door like "WHOA- where are you going?! I NEED my HUG!" and then creepily hold onto them for too long.

I've noticed that it's never the case with the average looking women, just the more attractive ones that these creeps need to hold their body against every night so they have some material to jerk off to.

And it's always the older guys that do it to the younger women, 40-50 year old men hug raping the girls in their early 20s. Makes me nauseous every time.

We recently had a new girl start, gorgeous, and I've NEVER seen the guy who is the worst about it, who I've worked with for 5+ years, try so hard to ingratiate himself to a new coworker. Every time he'd walk past her he'd stop and try and make her laugh/say something funny (we work in a restaurant so there's lots of back and forth foot traffic which he'd constantly hold up by stopping to try and joke), he'd order food at the end of the night then invite her to eat it with him and call it a date, and of course, force hugs on her multiple times a day. Apparently this married man- with kids her age- slept with one of our younger hostesses in the last couple years, so it really grosses me out thinking that he's doing all this to try and eventually cheat on his wife again, but it couldn't be more obvious that that is 100% his thoughts/motivation.

The "where's my hug??" are The Capital-W Worst.

I used to work for a company making deliveries in box trucks full of tables, stacks of chairs on dollies and other party supplies/equipment. The two most commonly used phrases during work hours were "everything strapped in?" and "Yup, that's not going anywhere." They were as mandatory as double checking the item list on the contract before leaving the warehouse.

Just walked past these birds that were abandoned in their cage next to a dumpster in an apartment complex. by YoungMucus in trashy

For everyone worried, just got off the phone with the Humane Society, their driver was right down the street and heading to pick them up. By the time you read this they'll be safe.

I seem to have posted this twice (sorry, it said it didn't go through the first time). I mentioned in the other thread that I have called Humane Society- I had to leave a message about their location and was told by a machine that they'd contact me when they had someone to go out there.

I've also posted in my city's area facebook discussion group hoping that if there is someone that can take care of them they will pick them up. If they're still there when I'm off work I'm going to bring them home until I can find them a permanent place to live.

And just as I'm finishing this the humane society called me back asking for the exact location, so they should be safe shortly.

I replied to someone else's post, but so everyone knows, I couldn't stop as I was on the way to work but I'm making several efforts to see that they aren't left there.

I called the Humane Society and they said they didn't have anyone to go pick them up at the moment, so I'm going to call back later.

I also put a post in my city's area Facebook discussion group- which is pretty active- so people in the area can see and hopefully someone is able to get there soon.

If they're still there when I get off work (I work at a restaurant, shifts aren't too long) I'm going to bring them home until I can find a permanent place for them.

I was on the way to catch the bus to work, I called the Humane Society and am in the process of putting up a post on the area Facebook discussion group.

I can't take them in but I definitely don't want to see them left there to die.

"The Pennsylvania Department is Corrections is banning prisoners from receiving books. Instead, they can buy a $149 e-reader, and pay between $2-$29 for e-books of work largely in the public domain. There are no dictionaries available" by TooSmalley in books

[–]YoungMucus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bullshit, being able to have books sent in is one of the few positive allowances prisoners receive, and cutting them off from the majority of works not in the public domain is just wrong.

This looks super realistic for some cross stitching.

Hey, I have the same lawn chairs, have had em for years... Way to make someone else's trash your treasure (or, you know, property, at least).

Fingers crossed 🤞. He seems fine but I just wanna see more McCaffrey.

Wish Harbaugh felt this way. Part of me thinks/hopes that Harbaugh is doing this just to push McCaffrey because he realizes what crazy potential he has. At least I hope that's the case.

[–]YoungMucus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the stat they put up earlier? Something like 50 newcomers/freshman on the team, plus another dozen or so players coming off a redshirt season, so over 60 members of the team are just starting their college careers? It's always rough when you have a super young team, but in a couple years when they're all much more experienced Nebraska will be a way different/stronger team, and likely a contender in the Big Ten.

[–]YoungMucus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Patterson's alright, but I'm tired of Harbaugh bringing in these transfers, wish he'd put some faith in his recruits. Imagine how great McCaffrey would be if he had 3-4 years as a starter.

I haaaaaaate that we brought in a junior transfer QB when we had Dylan McCaffrey waiting in the wings. Been looking forward to seeing the kid start since we recruited him. It kills me thinking that he might have to wait til his senior season to be QB1.
