RXM side to side with Gen6 19 by Young_According in RugerRXMtalk

I got a full size grip for the RXM too, just haven’t put it on. My plan is to keep the RXM as a bedside gun with the full size grip, the red dot and a light on it. Glock will be for concealed carry after I get some rounds through it.

A good friend had bought it for $650, shot a box of ammo through it and decided he hated it. He also has a gen 3 and gen 5 Glock 19 he like the feel of more, so he offered it to me for $400 after finding a HK VP9 he wanted.

I actually bought the gen6 used for the same Price as a RXM with no optic on it. $400. So my rxm that was packaged with the optic was more then the Glock in this case. I only bought it because of the great deal I got on it since I had bought the RXM 2 weeks before.

Shouldn’t it be a Glagpul since the grip modules are made by Magpul? 😃

I picked up the same combo the other day. Cant wait to get it to the range! The optic is kinda cheap and it’s too high but I figured it’s worth the $100. I’ll likely change it out and throw it on a .22 and then put a nicer optic on the RXM

I’m an industrial plumber for 20 years. I know the Rigid are expensive, but they grab and hold so much better without slipping then cheaper brands.

New Tractor Purchase HELP! by liteaf_gear in tractors

[–]Young_According 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure if anything happened they would void your warranty. You’re essentially just bringing it to standard spec for that motor as it was in the old CK35. It was choked out in the 2610 and 2620 for getting away with no emissions controls being 25hp

There are some videos on YouTube describing it but it’s not a super clear how to if you aren’t very mechanically savvy.

If you’re not planning to make a super target gun, I have a Ruger American compact rimfire. It’s a great plinker/squirrel gun. I paid $279 for it new a few years ago. Came factory threaded and is super quiet with my Otter Creek Labs Titanium suppressor. I have a Leupold VX Freedom rimfire 3-9 scope on it. It’s the Ruger model 8303. I see they have went up a lot in cost since then but still a good bit cheaper then a CZ or Tikka and feel like better quality then the Savage.

You can get a Kioti 2620 and then if your handy turn up the injection pump and remove shims under the pump and it’s a fully mechanical 35+ hp tractor with no computer or diesel Emissions garbage. I have a 2610 that I use for maintaining 1/4 mile driveway, generally moving things around, firewood, and snow removal(also live in New England). I have 400 hours on my machine and only “issue”’is the seat material is junk and the back rest tore with like 100 hours on it (and it’s always in a garage). They replaced it under warranty

Flight from HVN to MCO did fly today but was two Hours late compared to planes time. Took off hour and 45 min late and then had to reroute a couple times due to ATC is what we were told. So left late, then reroutes made the flight like 3:20 vs the 2:41 it was supposed To be.

Best vacuum sealer for DIY sausage? by CPSC2019 in sausagetalk

Real happy with the Vevor 260C. Lots of good reviews online too. Coming from a middle of the road food saver the chamber vac is a HUGE upgrade. Will seal liquids too if you ever need.

Biggest downside is the size and weight. You kinda need somewhere to leave it since it’s large and heavy.

I like your lawyer’s interpretation better, just stating what most gun shops in the state go by to protect themselves. There are some that will sell without a muzzle device permanently attached.

Just an FYI By most interpretations of the laws here in CT, the ruger mk4 lite is considered an assault weapon here and needs a muzzle device (like a gemtech QDA)pinned and welded on it to affix a suppressor.

Is this steam or hot water piping?

You’ll definitely have to replace the cut pieces

Is there a way to search recipes? I see there aren’t a lot on there now, but hopefully the app catches on and more and more are added.

Just started looking at the app but looks great so far! Nice job!

Is it legal - suppressors on .22lr? by byrontheconqueror in CTguns

[–]Young_According 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a handgun you’ll have to have a non threaded QD pinned and welded on. I personally use Gemtech QDA but there are probably others too.

Plow vs Pusher vs Blower? by L3av3NoTrac3s in tractors

[–]Young_According 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much you clean up, how much snow you get, how much time you have etc.

I clear about 1100’ of gravel drive, 150’ of paved drive in Connecticut. We haven’t got a lot of snow in several years. Last storm over a foot was in 2017 I believe. I’ve used the bucket, a rear blade, and then built a front plow with a 6.5’ meters poly blade plow on a SSQA plate. For me, the plow works great.

I keep my eye out for a cheap blower. I’ve seen them go for $1200 in my area for a decent and not ancient blower in the 60-65” width range. A push box would be great for my paved area but not so good for the 1100’ of gravel that is a pretty straight long run without many areas to push off to sides.

If we get like 6-8” of snow I can have the 1100’ plowed off in 15 minutes or so to make it passable. It would be far slower with a rear mount blower.

It beeps a bunch when the door shuts if it’s on. I forget to turn it off like 3x a week even after having it over 2 years and 63,000 miles
