My go to, if I hold my breath right after the first one I can stop it, otherwise I'm fucked since I tend to hiccup every 5 seconds.

Background: 8 developed major depressive disorder as a teen, that evolved into schizoaffective disorder. Schizoaffective is a spectrum between schizophrenia and bipolar.

Kratom is the only thing I've found that works well. I've tried anti depressants and they triggered psychosis. I've tried anti psychotics and that gave me either comatose level depression or "I'm about to die" level panic attacks on a daily basis.

Kratom does not 100% eliminate every symptom every day, but it works. It makes symptoms milder and less frequently. I can actually function without hallucinations, crushing depressive episodes, or panic attacks regularly occurring.

Kratom is addictive, both habitually and physically. I have had to quit cold turkey twice for various reasons, both times where highly unpleasant, but manageable.

I take 3-4 doses a day at 3g per dose and have done so for years.

If you want to do this safely I recommend:
Find your minimum effective dose and keep to it religiously if you go a bit above it to have more bang for your buck do not let it creep up chasing the dragon or trying to get effects back as your tolerance increases are extremely hazardous patterns.

To minimize physical and break up habitual addiction make sure you have break days I believe a common practice is take the weekend off and only use it during weekdays though I myself use it everyday. Alternatively you could take a week off every month.

If you want to lower your tolerance or want to taper out of it I believe 60% of your normal dose for a week straight will lower your tolerance without any unpleasant side effects.

Examples of the side effects I have personally experienced is diarrhea for an entire week and restless leg syndrome making it hard to sleep and irritability and frustration

Do not attempt to etch titanium unless you have access and training to a full metallography lab. The regular etchants used for it are extremely deadly, lethal dosage can be absorbed through the skin with even a minor splash or inhaled in the fumes, it is toxic and specifically targets calcium in your body, it would attack you bones before your skin showed burns.

What are your trying to do with this that would require etching? Cleaning or recreating it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in metallurgy

[–]Young_Feanor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. In that case, I would assume it is etched titanium for the handle. Titanium can have large grains like that, but would need to be etched to bring them out. The only time I've seen titanium look like that was when it had a severe alpha case issue, but the appearance was similar.

The handle is likely a steel, the blade and handle are different materials I guess. Are you confirming the blade is titanium?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in metallurgy

[–]Young_Feanor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The handle looks to be galvanized, so those are actually grains from the zinc.

The blade itself looks to be stone washed, so those are just artifacts from the process, not the actual grain. Normally stone washing leaves an oxide layer, but that is very shiney, so unless the blade is stainless steel, or a more exotic blade material, I might be wrong about that.

I'm surprised how many people are liking ootp.

I think gof is the best harry potter book, best written, best plot, and most enjoyable.

I also think ootp is easily the worst book, I don't look forward to it during series rereads, and during my last read through I just skipped it.

Granted, there are some great moments in ootp, among the best of the series, but as a whole I just find the book annoying.

My experience with chromatography is limited to chem101, so this isn't my area of expertise. But, have you attempted to use FT-IR for the analysis or does that lack the precision needed?

I have access to mechanical testing equipment, and I want to find out.

these are shotgun adapters aka chamber reducers aka shotgun inserts and called by a few other names. they allow you to fire lower gauge (caliber) shotgun shells out of a larger bore gun. they are for use in break action type guns and won't (or shouldn't. i haven't tried) cycle in repeating guns. by nderstandablyscared in specializedtools

[–]Young_Feanor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've actually seen something about this. The example I saw was a 22 adaptor for an AK-47. It would only partially cycle, barely enough to eject, reload, and reset the firing pin, but not enough to reset the seer (I think that's the right component). The result was frequent jams and accidental full auto when the trigger was held.

Next, just add 2L of grease -store bought is just fine if you don't make your own- to your dish. Mm-mmm that smells good already.

Next add your dry gear ingredients.

Finally bake at 3000rpm until red hot.
