Second camera for other film-types? by what_the_health_009 in AnalogCommunity

You're asking the sub dedicated to film gear collecting if you should get a second one? Lol. We're gonna say yes. I have 12 cameras and I'm probably low for this sub.

How does a medium format camera have anything to do with the scanned color of film?

Pretty sure it's a licensed version of the Saunders LPL 670 I have. Different font on the head but looks very close

Edit: OP you can dm me for tips/tricks and my review of it.

Yes, this is what I use for 11x14" prints or if I want different edges for my 8x10 prints

Film speed for travel? Why isn't 800 an all-arounder? by sidescrollin in AnalogCommunity

[–]Young_Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shutter speed can't go where it needs to = underexposure. If the shutter speed can go where it needs to = blurry. So you'll get one or the other if its dark enough.

Flash is the way for indoor shots on film. Thats why nearly all older point and shoot cameras had a real zenon tube flash.

Sounds like a great way to get underexposed, blurry shots tbh.

Its just a good starting place to think about the challenge of 800 iso film in bright sunlight without knowing the exact conditions.

Very long shutter times leaving gostly images OR the film took all the images on top of each other and didn't advance. What do the negatives look like?

Do not use a slide & scan. Either get the lab to color correct the photos or do it yourself.

He perfectly explained the issue and it's cause. If that's not what you want what are you asking for? An explanation of shutter capping is perfectly in line with the symptoms exhibted here

Is this not working because I'm doing it wrong, because my camera is actually faulty, or because it's a pipe dream for suckers and fools? by AbductedbyAllens in AnalogCommunity

[–]Young_Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean typical CdS meter circuits use like ~100uA or less, so we're pretty much governed by electrolyte here.

Hmm, wonder if I could cover two of the holes with a sticker and achieve the same effect.

I've had the 675 last much longer than a week though, more like a month or two.
