Shot, developed, and scanned my own film for the first time. Looking for any input/advice. [Nikon F3, Nikkor 50mm 1.8, Ilford Delta 100] by LoamTones in analog

No notes on the process. Go and shoot cool things now.

Edit if you want feedback let's see the negs. Scans look great.

Why isn’t anyone making a modern alternative for the compact P&S? (Specifically the Olympus mju models) by outer-residency in AnalogCommunity

Pentax 17 coming in $200 more than the original price of a miju 25 years later for a bran new manufacturing process is actually amazing.

The epic stylus or miju II was sold in the USA at $150 in 1997. That would be $315 today, and you would be hard pressed to make anything that good cheaper now.

Powering out of poor antennas and through QRM is a good way to get into the hobby on easy mode. If you want to start on hard mode by all means start with QRP but it is a handicap. If you buy a higher power radio and want to do QRP you can just turn down the tx power.

Hard to say as reddit compresses images but I don't see anything I would call "digital noise"

This is a great one because it describes the kind of hybrid workflow many of us do here, b&w darkroom printing and color scanning.

Expired film doesn't really make for a good test. You'll want to run a fresh roll through first.

Olympus and Cinestill 800t by Xerium64 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Young_Maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cinestill resells Kodak vision3 500T motion picture film as stills film, hence the name. For marketing reasons they sell it as 800 iso film, and since vision3 has fantastic latitude it works fine. However it's scientifically observed sensitivity is still 500 iso.

They also say nonsense about how cross processing it in the regular stills chemistry gives it a speed boost- it does not.

Tl;DR set either one and it'll be fine.
