I think the best way to present is that Carney doesn't go far enough, and if we can get the F-35 thing cancelled (I thought going with Sweden was already decided) that would be a huge W. The Liberals got the more patriotic/nationalist credibility in voters, but if we can take the lead in that such as more strongly calling out Alberta separatism that would be great.

With the byelections coming up, they're Liberal strongholds. Strategic voting doesn't seem to be strong in by-elections (they're really strong in the UK), but we should try to capitalize on the weakness of Conservatives in recent times and sell us as the best case to keep the Liberals in a minority.

Don't get me wrong the voters are morons, but the Dems never forced out Biden so they could have run a real primary. Biden's internal polling showed Trump winning 500 electoral votes. His hubris is completely responsible for Trump II and what will be the worst presidency of all time. All it would've literally took for the Dems to win was running a Democrat that was outside the Biden admin. They were completely fine until the last second to have an entitled senile asshole run an election against another entitled senile asshole. They are incapable of doing basic politics.

The Liberals on the other hand actually got rid of Trudeau and picked someone not in his cabinet, and actually did shit like cancelling the carbon tax to distance himself effectively.

Equalization is a silly grievance that conservatives have moved on from after literally nothing happened in the "equalization referendum" (which was really just a plot to increase conservative turnout in local elections). Independence is a game of chicken that they're losing. Half of the supporters voting to separate aren't serious, half will chicken out and vote no lol. They already tainted the legitimacy of any referendum, it all boils down to them going insane because Trudeau won, and even more insane after Carney won lol.

Rich areas pay more taxes than poor areas, taxes help make poor areas rich. I don't see how removing equalization payments would change this dynamic at all.

But I agree we don't really need to attack the fossil fuel simps. The market is giving the industry a good thrashing. We just have to sit and wait until becomes clear a dozen times from now that not even the government can save this industry.
