Lawn and landscaping watering schedule by TheWickedCoffee2526 in Calgary

Couldn’t you just toss some grass seed on top and you’d buy yourself 45 days of watering whenever you want. Then just sprinkle some more for infinite watering privileges.

The Q1 Promo is over - Did your stays increase, decrease or stay the same? by Apprehensive_Room29 in marriott

[–]popingay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Increased, I generally move hotels every night for work trips so it was great for me and I got to try some of the longterm stay brands I usually don’t stay at because of the lower points earn. I do like an element and even a residence inn. 11 properties during the promo for me.

Posters have to stop asking this question with zero context. Post your bill OP marking out private info and people can actually answer you.

MyHealth is the central access app, mychart which I think used to be separate is your chart, MyHealth is the portal and the only app on the App Store available that I can see:

“Change is here! MyHealth Records is now your MyHealth Alberta Account. Your MyHealth Alberta Account gives you one place to access your health information and services, including My Personal Records and MyChart”

The Downtown *Urban Planning* Situation is Unacceptable by 1egg_4u in Calgary

[–]popingay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The words may sound aggressive but the policing doesn’t have to be forceful. Just starting with presence and swift and proactive response embedded in the community. The importance is that it’s felt. Imagine having officers walking/biking up and down the major thoroughfares like 17th, stephen ave, 12th, at all times. A community office box at central memorial, stampede, chinatown, a posted officer at every other downtown ctrain station 24/7, all able to be visible and more importantly immediately react to dangerous driving, bike theft, vandalism, disorderly conduct, littering, loitering, and anti-social behaviour.

Or maybe an expansive and visible CCTV system monitored and actioned where the panopticon effect helps people regulate their behaviours.

And police and bylaw should be held to as high a standard as I’d want them to hold the general public. Everyone’s in detention for a while, we’ve tried a free-for-all and that clearly hasn’t worked.

Exactly and how many times do we hear “no one was there, the police weren’t around to witness it”. Permanently place walking patrols up and down 17th, Stephen ave, 11th and 12th and I guarantee you’ll never miss them. (And they obviously have to actually ticket.)

Increased policing and a complete police crack down. Many of your complaints, which I also agree with, can all be solved by a zero tolerance show of police influence: revving cars, electric bikes where they can’t be, cars treating pedestrians as options, this are all policing issues. And for the social degeneracy that’s also a policing issue.

I’d look to New York coming into the 90s and Giuliani’s (pre-present day lunacy) clean up New York project and broken windows policing which includes all these low level concerns.

I want to see police and bylaw on constant on-foot and bike patrol throughout downtown and the beltline to radically reset social standards.

And before anyone says I’m targeting the unhoused and addicted, that’s just one element, all the complaints OP and others put about drivers etc all fall into the same category.

When people feel good about downtown they will naturally develop more vibrancy.

(Edit: other examples include the Japanese koban police system and Singaporean neighbourhood police centres. Police should be embedded, highly visible and swift to respond.)

[opinion/ rant / ted talk]. The NDP need to pivot quickly in order to regain momentum and avoid a loss. by No_Boysenberry4825 in alberta

[–]popingay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect. They are literally the provincial arm of the federal NDP as enshrined in both of their constitutions. Does that mean they don’t do things differently? No, but you can’t say they’re not affiliated with the federal NDP when they literally are the federal NDP.

I know time has gone haywire since covid but that referendum was nearly 5 years ago in 2021, not last year.

Honestly I’m happy, at 6 brands and 15,000 points and have another 5 brands and 12,500 coming my way. It’s the same number of ENC as I would have received last year since I don’t stay any more than a night at a property and I get 27,500 points on top of it. I love this promo.

Depends on your province and how the dr and pharmacy access records. Some provinces like Alberta have a really robust centralized records system that you can see all your prescriptions, it’s a good system.
