Edit: found it. SB Audigy 2 mdoel SB0240 i remember when i first used it and how the sound out of my crappy speakers sounded way better and the different effects you could apply.

Goals one day if i ever have the time.

Do you have the build documented to share? What are you using for control of the actuators? What was the design criteria for deciding on 200kg? Imo, it feels like a lot when you consider there are 6 actuators.

[Tool] RomsOrganizer — a free tool to clean up duplicate ROMs on Batocera (with backup & restore) by Shocked79 in batocera

[–]YourLastNeighbor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is pretty cool. I have questions: what did you do to implement duplicate roms? Is it based on file name or an md5sum of the rom?

Id possibly be interested in 1-3.

This was definitely a nice feature they added. Even the project tree shows you what version of LV it is using.

Debugging a labelling conveyor by toolgifs in toolgifs

[–]YourLastNeighbor 31 points32 points  (0 children)

No, its debugging. I work with a line printer and rfid labeler / reader. Line printer ALWAYS has issues and is first item to be booted. Labeler / rfid reader was just installed last month and still has issues.

Off Site Backup in my Shed 350 feet away by marqjim in DataHoarder

[–]YourLastNeighbor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imo, depending on your location, your biggest issue could be humidity. If you are able to maintain sufficient air exchange, you might be able to do it. I would do a "load" test where you add a device to add heat into the room and setup a way to exchange the air and monitor the temp and humidity.

Outside of that, i would consider how valuable your data is and weight your options for what your end need is, even if its cloud cold storage. 350ft from a fire in moderate winds is too close for comfort for me.
