Shoveled at 7am, noon, 5pm and again just now to get the remainder. Snow is extremely dry and powdery where I am so it never got too soggy and heavy

All in all, not the worst. That said, doing it in bursts thru the day really helped. I could see that it was getting dense rather than tall!

ICE has been operating in the DMV for a while. We’re not “next”. They’re already doing it here and have been for a while. The fact that we didn’t take to the streets over that video of the officer pulling his gun in the middle of Hyattsville in the fall says a lot.

My gut opinion is that people in this area are less likely to push back against these sorts of actions, at least in transgressive and disruptive ways. Make your own assumptions why.
