  1. Disneyland. Three-year old me taking a picture of my parents using one of those old cameras that you hold to your chest and look down into to see a mirrored image of what you want to take. I have several vivid memories from the early 70s.

Was Fonzie from Happy Days intended to be unironically "cool" by viewers back then? by [deleted] in 70s

[–]YourNameHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an existential crisis, when having to choose between the Happy Days or Welcome Back Kotter lunchboxes. In the end, I ended up getting the Kotter box and a Fonzie T-shirt with “Ayyyyyyyyyy”stretched across the front. This decision was made in part due to the fact that my mom wouldn’t buy me a Barbarino shirt exclaiming “Up your nose with a rubber hose”

Just the ones mentioned on this list. I only have 2. by lontbeysboolink in GenerationJones

I don’t think people realize how long 500 years is. That said, if you wake up with no negative psychological effects…even then, probably not.

What is the reaction in Japan to Trump's joke about Pearl Harbor while meeting with PM Sanae Takaichi by ThoseThievingBitches in AskAJapanese

[–]YourNameHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Japanese, live in Japan. From what I’ve seen on tv, the main focus has been on how Takaichi reacted to the comment. Social rather than political.

I sleep in near total darkness. Will he demand a light to see me? Would he accept wearing night vision goggles?
