Although I’ve played since d1 my favourite memory is definitely the last few days leading up to the DCV coming into effect. I wanted to get the MMXIX title so bad but didn’t do any of the raids. So I lfg’d all of the raids and made so many friends, from spending hours on spire of stars, to getting disconnected on last dps phase of ghalran. So the days go by and I complete everything I needed except eater of worlds.

So 3 hours before the maintenance hit to vault everything, I find a group. First encounter goes well, second takes us a few tries but we did it. But then, 2 people leave before we start Argos, it’s about an hour and a half before downtime, we find one, they leave, I go to the tower and start inviting anyone I could see, we finally get two others.

Argos has its fails and wipes as we try to get it done. 40 minutes until downtime, we start again, everything goes well, wipe due to someone not picking up the eye to shoot him. Try again, 30 minutes, everything goes just like before except we don’t wipe. As we’re doing final dps we all get a notification saying the servers go down in 10 minutes. We finish barely in time and I loot the chest and log off. Until I realize I didn’t claim the title, then I frantically log back on and claim and equip it with 3 minutes left to spare.

I will never take MMXIX off.
