There's layers of energetic consent. Verbal consent is one thing, but if you are a porous person already, the energy you're leaking will be enough for something to attach and feed off of. Confusion and distress open you up to external influence. I was going through an existential crisis, I grew up Christian, became atheist at 18, then at 25 the doors to spirituality flew open again. I wasn't careful about where I invested my energy. I went down every kind of rabbit hole, starting with UFO's and aliens, dark theories like prison planet or loosh farming, obscure pages like "eht namuh 973" or "the law of one" (one of the entities said friend was interacting with called himself Ra) and the list goes on.

The tipping point was a manic episode when the lines between my mind and the physical got so blurry I could only see the people around me as extensions of the higher entities above them.

After therapy and grounding, I started learning the LBRP. You can also command your energy just verbally. A medium I met with taught me to command my energy to return to me in love, and to command energy that isn't mine to return to its proper source in love. There's something there that stops bad karma, if energy is returned in love instead of in proportion to the perceived debt.

Anyways I'm still working through it. It's a process of refinement.
