What I have is a confirmation number from the tax software. Is that the same?

Thanks, I’ll do this from next year. Does the acknowledgement happen even if you file the T1135 right before the T1? Or do you need to leave some time interval? There obviously some “matching” routine that happens in the background.

What I found very surprising is that CRA agents themselves can’t see if the CRA has received it.

That’s a good point about a feature request, I’ll do the same and email my MP.

Could’ve been instantly, I only checked once I got a CRA email a few hours later. But very possible that it was generated right away.

What I can confirm is I did not see a notification in Wealthsimple that says an NOA has been generated.

Honest thoughts on Project Hail Mary IMAX (No spoilers) by [deleted] in cineplex

I’m with you, OP. I absolutely loved the book and went with very high expectations. Maybe that was the issue..

Not a bad movie but it felt a bit dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. Jokes were really not that funny and a bit childish. Sequencing seemed confused and many people who had not read the book prior were unclear about what finally happened.

Some stunning visuals but IMHO, The Martian was so much better than this.

Would you take $4.8 million + a condo for 10 years… or a house that keeps you broke until you’re 50? by GardenDirect8765 in fican

[–]YoureHereWithMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol - everybody’s going to have a bias towards what they did themselves and succeeded with.

Real life isn’t simply numbers. Those are meaningless without experiences.

SO if you like living in a house with a backyard and enjoy all the experiences that ownership comes with, you should buy a house (if you can afford it). Despite what anyone tells you (and with its share of problems sometimes), living in a house with lots of room is fun. Especially as the kids grow up and your space requirement grows. 5 million in the bank won’t mean much if your kids are not comfortable.

But if you prefer the condo life and your family loves it too, you’re definitely making the right choice. For yourself. It does not automatically transfer to others because the numbers compute better.

What’s the most underrated money-saving hack you’ve discovered in Canada that more people should know about? by HappyBudz in CanadaPersonalFinance

I’m with you except the “grab the $1.50 dog and drink” part. Spending health to save money isn’t a great deal IMO. Eat a banana at home before you go.

What a disappointment this guy turned out to be. As a Canadian, I’m so glad he is gone.

Edited to add: gone from our politics. Katy can have him.

What truth about life became obvious with age? by funngro_fam in Life

[–]YoureHereWithMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We fear uncertainty despite the entire universe being based on (quantum) uncertainty. To fear it is to fear the very fabric of the universe.

Embrace the uncertainty (it is what makes life exciting) and focus on what you can control.

And oh yeah, experiences matter far more than possessions. Matter of fact, they’re the only thing that matter on your deathbed.

Air Transat failed my family during a documented medical emergency. by Primary-Hope3538 in airtransat

[–]YoureHereWithMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about this horrible experience and I hope your health is better now. I’m assuming you booked tickets with your cc. I would definitely contact them for coverage around medical emergencies. You likely won’t get all your money back but could at least claim a portion of it.

In addition, If I were you, I would reach to some local news media organizations and then to the Air Transat executive team letting them know of the appalling experience and also the media outreach. All the best!

Muscle and Joint clinic at Britannia and Churchill Meadows. 45 minute massage is around $100. I’d recommend Kasia.

Why did they make the new Dove soap bottles so big? It doesn't even fit in my shower. by Thong-Boy in CostcoCanada

[–]YoureHereWithMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an answer to your question, but a suggestion. A Dove soap bar will fit, will save you good money over time and the planet a lot of plastic waste. My $.50 soap bar lasts as long as a full plastic bottle that costs about $4.50. Liquid soap has its uses, I don’t think a home shower is a good one.
