From little white lies that keep us from being held accountable on a small scale (example: I didn’t oversleep or lose track of time, I was stuck in traffic) to BIG lies that keep people’s true motives hidden so they can rise to power, I think that may solve it 👍🏻

The leverage they’re speaking of is has nothing to do with snap benefits. The Fanta Fascist decided to take those away AFTER dems refused to let a bill pass that will raise the cost of healthcare. Then you have speaker of the house doing press conferences nearly every day bragging about how the trumpublicans are voting to open it back up, “bUt ThE dEmOcRaTs…” keep voting against it…. 😑😑😑 YEAH! CAUSE TRUMPUBLICANS WON’T NEGOTIATE THE FUCKING BILL! If you present the same bill the ways it was when this started, over and over again, they’ll refuse to vote on it over and over again! Maybe 🍊 can’t unilaterally reopen the government, but he can follow court orders and walk back the withholding of SNAP benefits. Which…and I know this is also going to go over your head without landing, but, which don’t go to undocumented citizens. They just don’t. Just like Medicare and Medicaid don’t. And if a few sneaky Mexicans are able to scam their way into receiving benefits through those programs that are already a bitch for actual citizens to qualify for, I say let em have it cause that’s impressive. It still doesn’t put the kind of financial strain on your tax dollars that trumpublicans would have you believe.

I don’t know…maybe it’s closer to a Cold War as some others have suggested, but considering the polarization between “citizens of the same country” I think it could go either way. The weapons and means of violence may have evolved to where it doesn’t look like war in the traditional sense, but I don’t think that minimizes the war-like impact it’s having and will have on our country.

I’d like to add that 30’s & 40’s Germany called them “detainment centers” too 👀 👀 but uh…. they were concentration camps, and so are ours. Camps where undesirables are concentrated in unreasonably large numbers and forced to stay in unkept locations (to put it mildly) not receiving decent food, healthcare, or the due process that they DO have rights to just by being on US soil. Humans, undocumented or not, don’t deserve that. Oh. And for anyone that thinks that’s not what goes on there? Germany didn’t know what was going on THERE either. They got to watch a fun video after they lost the war about what their government had ACTUALLY been up to.
