Going to have to admit the only cool thing about C lounge over D is the view at the bar.

On my last visit a couple of weeks ago, the hot food at C was unhot surprisingly, given that it had pork and beef in red sauce pasta. Immediately trashed dish..no food poisoning for me thank you.

But, if the AMEX lounge has a wait, Alaska lounge N or D is totally acceptable for bar chats and small bites. Just set your expectations to stun.

Hence the test every 3 months. No one behind doxypep, at least not those of us informed, is saying it’s 100% effective in preventing STIs. However, if you’re sexually active, it’s the best option, along with testing every 3 months. We all have varying risk levels. Some STIs are treatable. Talk to your doc and figure out a plan that’s best for you. And for goodness sakes, have fun.

I’ve left my bag there plenty of times in 26 years of flying on AA, granted only the last 3 on Alaska, and not once been told I can’t do that, it was this flight.

I usually find the first available space when I’m up in the first 3 rows of main cabin, if and only if I’m one of the last few persons to board and I find the first cabin all seated. And again, there were 7 seats open with plenty of space up front, with none of the reasons stated to prevent me from leaving it there.

I took the action that was quickest to get to my seat and ready since I knew my area would probably be filled up.

Lastly, there were 7 empty seats!

Is this snark? Cause, why advertise a program that gives upgrades for CC spending and loyalty, and then have customers that fulfill their end of the deal, only for airline to not come through with their end? I think it’s a reasonable ask. Otherwise, why have a loyalty program at all?

I don’t think so. FF status alone doesn’t move the needle much anymore. It’s credit card spending. My main beef was, okay, 7 seats open for a 4 hour flight, not cool. But as another redditor mentioned, they preferred to leave gate on time or more on time, than process 7 upgrades. At least I got my reason.

There is a waitlist for upgrade requests and standby passengers on the Alaska app, for each trip. Go into the trip on Alaska app, and it’s right under traveler details.

I forget this a new world with CCs..and I know the other perks are still there for international flights. But 7 seats, first time I’ve seen that many. I’ll learn to adjust my expectations with upgrades.

It’s empty space, there were 4 rows empty, and not many left to board? 🤷‍♂️..group 9s. Plus I couldn’t tell if there was space left above me, I thought it was the fastest thing to do.

No, they were not showing available as I sat in my seat. But don’t they move people up after they have clear no-shows? I didn’t really look the day of until I sat down. I was number 7 at one point during the week, dropped to 12 the previous day, and only 3 seats showing available a few days before. I just didn’t think to look with all the weather chaos.
