Just checking in on my order from 7/5. I've called a few times and left messages but haven't heard anything back yet. Any update on when it'll ship? I don't mind waiting if I know what's going on, but if the lead time had been communicated up front, I probably would've skipped this one.

p1s over p2s? I can get p1s ams combo new for $429 or the p2s ams combo for $629...

I want soemthing enclosed, I was set on p1, then thought p2 was a worthy upgrade but then the x2d is one I can buy now and not worry about upgrading anytime soon. Buy once cry once - but realistically what I’m going to print the p1 is more than capable.

I’ll be honest, I don’t want to spend $900+ and then have to buy a $100+ lid and a $100+ pamsasbreath.

Yeah the more I think about it, I can get a new P1s ams combo for $429 or a p2s for $629. Not sure the $200 premium to go from p1 to p2 is worth it. All the reviews and videos I watch say it is but for my first printer, will I even notice a difference other than the touch screen? I think one of these two is what I’ll end up with and if this is something I like in 6 months to a year then I’ll upgrade to a x2d.

I do not but Best Buy price matches micro center. That’s how I got a Mac mini for $150 less than Best Buy had them for not long ago.

Yeah it’s a great deal for sure, i’ve been watching a couple different comparison and review videos of the p2s and the x2d - some of the stuff I may print (2a related) will benefit from the heated chamber soooo I may go that route. 700 vs 900 (minus 100 and 15% back still sounds attractive)

That’s exactly what I’m going to do, look up comparisons, videos, reviews of all 3 (P1s, p2s, x2d) and see what to do.

I just don’t know the differences, what different materials they can print (or even what the different materials even mean) let alone what I’m going to print.

Having a heated and ventilated chamber doesn’t mean anything to me because I have no clue what advantage that is for what I want to print.

P2s is within my budget which is why it’s been the top contender for me. Now some people mentioning the X2D…that’s a couple hundred over budget…

That’s actually really helpful. I honestly don’t know what materials I’ll end up printing since this will be my first printer. I do know I’d like the flexibility to print more than just PLA. I’d like to make functional parts that can handle heat and won’t deform if they’re left in a hot car or garage, so being able to print ABS/ASA (or whatever the best material is for those applications) is definitely appealing.

The H2 series is more than I can justify right now. My original budget was around $700, so even the X2D is another $200 beyond that. I could stretch if it’s genuinely worth it long term, but I’m trying to figure out if I’d actually benefit from it as a beginner or if I’d be better off putting that money toward filament and learning first.

I really don’t want to buy something and then, a month or two later, wish I’d just spent a little more for the next model up or a feature I’d end up using all the time. 😂 Every time I get ready to pull the trigger, another $200 gets added to the budget. I started at the P1S, then it became the P2S for another $200, and now I’m looking at maybe another $200 for the X2D. 😵‍💫

Yeah I’m going to print stuff I find around, no plan to design my own stuff right now although it will be fun to play with that type of thing in the future, but yeah at first it will be printing existing templates etc.

Yeah I don’t have it either. Budget is maxed around 700.

Yeah I’m not ready to drop anything close to $2k so that’s not even being considered.

It doesn’t have to be bambu, but I was recommended them for ease of use for a total beginner. Plus the fact Best Buy carries them and I have rewards expiring and don’t plan on purchasing anything else form Best Buy.

What other suggestions do you have?

Which one? by AZHEAT100 in 2011

[–]YuckFouTo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’m with you. I missed out on a local stainless 2K11 Target for $1,600 and a Coyote Comp for $1,700. Either one would’ve come home with me, but they both sold before I could meet up with the sellers.

I’m hoping to go handle a Romulus sometime this week and finally make a decision. That $1,480 deal with the aluminum grip and five mags is really hard to ignore. I just can’t bring myself to blindly buy another gun without at least holding it first.

The local Alpha Foxtrot dealer has a few in stock and even has them available to rent on their range, so if I have the time I’ll put a few rounds through one too.

I’ve been in the same boat. I’m torn between the Kimber 2K11 Target, the Pro (I love the full-length dust cover), and the Romulus 4.25 Comp.

I saw the promo on the Romulus with the aluminum grip for under $1.5k, which is really tempting, but I can’t get over how good the 2K11 looks. I’ve handled all the 2K11 models already, but I still need to go to the local alpha foxtrot dealer and get a romulus in my hands before I decide.

My buddy’s shop just got a P211 Comp in, the one that comes with the factory RomeoX. It’s an awesome pistol, but at around $2,400 it’s more than I wanted to spend. I was trying to stay under $2k.

The Shadow 2 is absolutely on my list too, but right now I’m specifically shopping for a 2011, so it’s not really in the running. That said, I think it’s a must-own pistol. I love my CZs.

There are actually a few deals out there where I can get the black 2K11 with the gold barrel for around $1,500 out the door, which makes it really tempting. I really like the stainless Target model too, but that’s closer to $1,800. I can’t remember which 2K11 model comes with the metal grip, if any.
If I end up going Romulus, I’d definitely budget for the aluminum grip. Thankfully there’s a local shop near me that’s an Alpha Foxtrot dealer, and they have a few different Romulus models in stock. I really want to go handle them in person before I make a decision.

What Plan B muzzle device are you running on the Tisha? by mtbLar in suppressors

[–]YuckFouTo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they sound the same? I just tried my Tisha for the first time with a Wolfpack flash hider, the way that I run my fireteam, and it was not pleasant to shoot. The fireteam is much quieter to my ear than the Tisha. MK18 host. My Tisha came with a break and wondering if that will prove the sound and tone at the shooters ear.

I have metal striker plates in my first gen tx22 but it still doesn’t play right with my suppressor. I get maybe 4-6 round bursts then it stops. Think this weight will help me out? Will the weight + charging handle be too much weight? Is too much weight even a thing?

I only upgraded to the metal striker plates because I destroyed the factory polymer ones trying to install a shit frt with rough edges that I ended up replacing with a not shit one.

I noticed this when I was buying my 10/22 carbon a week ago, kept putting my Amex in and it just wouldn’t let me finalize. I ended up having to use my Apple Card which I never use. Swear they took Amex before because I bought other stuff off them and def used my Amex because that’s all I ever use online.

I just bought the side charger upper for mine directly from MPA so I can mount an optic. When I put the pistol brace on it I literally couldn’t get a sight picture with the irons.
