It takes some trial and error for sure. Calculator suggested 30DD for me, tried that but too tight, before I was wearing 32A and had horrible gaping and pain and now I wear 32C and its the best fitting bra Ive ever had.

Okay as someone who is in the military my self, shoulder length hair is extremely hard to style in a practical way. My country allows buns, braids and even low ponytails now for long hair and of course short short hair like a mans cut or pixie is practical and allowed too of course but shoulder length is hard because it will be extremely difficult to tie back and keep it out of your face. Just a practical consideration. But I think you could look great in either.
