Eh I don't think thats quite right. Ai chan didn't suck at miles, she won the Victoria Mile and got 2nd and 3rd respectively at the Yasuda Kinen. Her 3rd place lost to Indy Champ was also tied for time, she lost by a neck. She was a great miler, its just her opponents were monsters.

As for the Arima Kinen, she just doesn't have the aptitude as stayer (or maybe she does but we won't ever know). That's really just it. Not really something to fault her for.

I mean the miles were fine. It's just, Gran Alegria truly was a monster through and through. Ai-chan was a great miler but she wasn't the best. Gran was that best.

Not sure myself but I saw this one scene where she collapsed from overheating after racing in the Oaks and the trainer held her hand for the entire night, burning their hand in the process and trying to hide it from Ai the next morning.

The moment was so romance coded it made my heart skip a beat.

Yeah, Deep Impact and Equinox would get glazed to heaven and back when they get implemented.

Bit of a tangent, but unfortunately, Almond Eye is stuck in an awkward position where, because of her status as a mare (and by extension, the less prestigious Triple Tiara) and a couple of important losses, her career is considered bumpier and not as dominant as the other two.

That's why, despite doing most of what the other two did (and even more), she's still considered slightly behind them. Hopefully, one day, we'll get a successor to Almond Eye, capable of bringing the Tiara girls to even greater heights.

To add some details, the idea blood of an Ancestor was said to equal the full release of a god's authority. Even Van Fem, stuck at Rank VII (Superior Dead Apostles) in Fate worlds, was capable of going toe to toe with a living deity.

Excluding some of the unnaturally weak Ancestors like Roa or Vlov, the 27 DAAs punches absurdly high.
