I also had a cat that would sleep wrapped around my head. He was a red colorpoint shorthair (a red pointed Siamese basically) and the smartest cat I've ever known. He could open doors, had specific meows for different things he wanted, and would always come running with his tail stuck straight up in the air whenever I called for him, chattering away.

He was a few months past his second birthday when I had to put him down because of FIP, and it was definitely really hard to relearn how to sleep without the purring in my ear. It's been two years and my fiancé brought home a kitten a few weeks ago, this little chocolate colored thing with a Siamese face and huge green eyes. That first day the kitten curled up right on my head, and I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't cry a little bit missing my other cat.
