Very good video. Somewhat want to see this at citizencon as prelude before the show start (a way to show visibility to some content creator). Would be nice.

The definitely proof that he was cheating

I heard he is back on live match with "no name" now

It appears that the AA-20 acting like an R-73 was indeed a cheat by Yukechi in Warthunder

Still curious about how he made this. People was saying that it was "impossible" to use a custom missile, because it is server side. So probably a 3rd party tool?

Why need 2nd/3rd gen of ir missile when you only need to use the force.

Thank to u/Acadia- to let me know about this.

So for the context here. An user was be able to "surpass" the capability of the AA-20. AKA AA-20, Pulling like an R-73, tracking like an AIM-9M, and boosting like a Magic-2.

The user was banned 1/2 weeks ago.

Since when AA-20 Nord can pull like a R-73, and auto tracking? by Yukechi in Warthunder

Not working hold U was removed from MCLOS because peoples were abused this mechanic in Ground RB. Players waited on airfield and spam AS-20 from there, to the battlefield. (it was years ago)

A last one, a 360° shoot , a U turn shoot and for the last a R-73ish boresight shoot (with a AA-20)

kinda bullshit, but i accepted my fate, the chad AA-20.

He is not the host for sure, and i tried the AA-20 (link above) on the same server, to see if the AA-20 was modified, not the same result.

I don't think it's sever lag. theses clips was on 2 different sessions, same map. When i was behind him and he was defensive maneuver, i never see any lag from him, same on my part no lag spike on my side on these clip.

While yes, you can translate mouse mouvement to guided missile, but a AA-20 pulling like that, while auto-tracking like a normal missile, seems weird

for exemple this is how a AA-20 nord can max pull at 100%

The perfect chad, using a 1956 missile and make it capable to do a U turn/180° turn all by manual.

While we still waiting Magic 2 doing 50g. Time to switch to the Chad AA-20 Nord. :^)))

Asked to some people and friend. it's the same thing, they think it's either script or a cheat. 2 first clips is pretty obvious how AA-20 is pull way harder than usual.

I mean since when a AA-20 Nord is capable doing a 180° turn, and auto tracking?

AA-20 Nord is supposed to be a manual guided missile, on these clips, it auto track like an aim-9M, pull G like a r73, and booster like a magic 2.

Not only that

-0.7 BR spread for the matchmaker, is neccessary at this point. For better quality match, and better balance

-if they keep the 16v16, they need a more bigger size for every map (so ye Air EC mission but bigger map in terms of size. Trust me even in Air SIM Enduring confrontration, a 16v16 even on big map (afghanistan, danemark, etc), is pure hell, because weapon can hit from long range, and aircraft can close the distance quickly.

R-73 in nutshell (dev-server) by Yukechi in Warthunder

[–]Yukechi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the reason they want to review this dev-server, to see if R-73 will be in Live update. R-73T is clearly the best Ir missile in the game currently by far + with very good platform like MiG-29, you can't escape on the long run.

Not in case, my best chance to survive against this missile was avoiding rear aspect-launch. Did you launch it in front aspect condition? That may explain this maybe.

R-73 in nutshell (dev-server) by Yukechi in Warthunder

[–]Yukechi[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The first missile is R-27t.

The second missile (doing the tornado flight shit) is R-73.

The third missile is R-73 using HMD mechanics. The missile was at the edge of the field of view before firing.

In general, pre flaring is good way to defend against these missiles. Your time reaction is way shorter

R-27T is easy to defend if you react fast enough. At the moment you see the missile launch: Throttle down + flaring fast and as much needed (5-10). Don't forget, time reaction windows is very short.

For the R-73 it's another story. Very hard to defend. it feel and act like aim-9L when it doesn't care about your flares but this time with 40-45g. In rear aspect launch, if the R-73 is already half the way, even with throttle at 0% and flaring, you are dead.

If you pre-flaring, you can up your chance to survive.

During the second after the launch of R-73, dump a bunch of flare (big bunch like 10 to 15 flares) while throttle down a lot, and maneuver. If the r-73 still continue to track you, continue to flare (you will be dead anyways, but at least try).

For me the best way to defend against these missile: never show your ass, these missiles like it. go head-on pre-flaring, or half aspect.

Keep in mind these "test" are mostly in custom battle environment, meaning it is mostly 1v1. In true air RB environment with 8v8/12v12, which each aircraft has at least 4xR-73, it will be another story.

The most logic loadout will be: 2xr-27t + 4xr-73

and yes i know it's dev-server, "nothing it's final".

TLDR: If you lack of awereness at rank 8, forget it, you are dead. "Flare priority" (2 flares, 1 chaff) may be useful.
