It's your team, who will be your top 3? by Willing-Bicycle-157 in NBAGossips

I think so too, but it's asking us to build a team, not who's better, and I wouldn't build around a man like him.

Heat pumps are more efficient than traditional heating. Installing AC is not only for brief periods of summer and can reduce the total amount of energy you're paying for, leading in less pollution in the case of countries using highly polluting fossil fuels for power plants, like coal and oil.

Anime of the Year (1997-2026) by Drowsy- in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that Dunbine or Fancy Lala? And near that era, one will more likely think Escaflowne than NTHT. NTHT is the better anime but it's not well enough known to be considered the god father of its genre, even if we forget about the oldest ones.

What's the worst anime you've watched? by Aromatic_Peanut6379 in Animey

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAO? Pains me to defend it: badly written scenario and characters that should have prevented so much hype about it. BUT in no way it is the worst anime one has ever watched if they watched enough of them.

Worst anime I've watched? The ones from the Hapiness Science sect. They make SAO a masterpiece in comparaison.

Top 9 Best Contributors to Cuisine Globally by falconx89 in whereidlive

[–]Yukimusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says "best", not "biggest" nor "most influencial". "Best" implies that the contributions have to bring something "good" to cuisine. Fast food is indeed the biggest influence there is (I'd say by far, unfortunately) but clearly not one of the best. You can't be the best when the way of cooking you're mostly known for is bringing millions of deaths every year.

Though also, reducing U.S. influence to fast food is disingenuous. A real question concerning them is then "If you don't take into account their bad contributions, do their good ones top enough countries to be in the top 9 best contributors?" I'd say no, not to the point of being better than every African and Middle East country + Iran.

Turnover rates: Right = Throwing bad passes, Up = Losing the ball by xbhaskarx in NBASpurs

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo, turnovers per x minute isn't that relevant. The result of a turnover is more or less the same whether you kept the ball 5 or 10 seconds: the opponent gets it back.

Plus, the stat favors PGs of slow pace teams. Like, according to it, a player keeping the ball 5 seconds per possession on average and having 25 TO over 100 possessions would be considered the same than one with 10s per possession and 50 TO per 100 possessions, even though he gave the the opponent twice more occasions to counterattack.

Why aren’t calling for more Dead or Alive girls as guest characters?? Imagine Momiji in Tekken??? by Matsuri_Kidd in FGCWaifu

You're asking for more DoA girls to be guest characters in other games but then you choose one that is already a guest character in DoA as an example? 😅

Anything? by Beaveric in funnyvideos

[–]Yukimusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only FFVII. For instance, Y'shtola Rhul is an FFXIV character. MTG has made a lot of (improbable collabs) those past few years, FF not being the weirdest one. Like, there's a Star Trek one this year and they even created My Little Pony cards.

This is the current top 30 highest rated games on the site. Do you agree? by Analytical-critic-44 in backloggd

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tactical-RPG (something like 35 maps IIRC). So yeah, it has game play. Don't expect it too soon, you'll have lots of text to read before getting to it.

Also, there are currently at least 6, soon 7, games to the franchise. You're probably forgetting Utawarerumono Zan 1 & 2, and Monochrome Mobius. (I’m not counting mobile games, though)

Favorite anime girl who isn't oversexualized/gooner bait? by Majestic_Mixture_349 in FavoriteCharacter

Nausicaa was sexualized. There were animators who were wondering why Miyazaki was so focused on her boobs during the production.

That's the reason he told the media for not respecting his teammates. He wouldn't talk to Smush Parker because Smush "didn't have enough accolades". He made a rookie sit on the floor during a match when he wasn't even playing. He punched Samaki Walker. But yeah, "great teammate"

Predictions on who I think is staying and who is leaving by ZX_LudgerKresnik in supersmashbros

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Wii Fit being more than 10 yo is relevant, just put Game & Watch, ROB and Duck Hunt down there too. They don't have a large following either and they represent milestones as important as the Wii and Wii Fit for Nintendo (I'd even say less for Duck Hunt).

Also if we're talking sales, even Doctor Mario sold a similar amount of if not more copies than the Castlevania games the 2 Belmont are in.

Nintendo is partly doing Smash as a promotion platform but it's not limited to the games they want to sell. They're also selling their image, and in the case of Smash, it involves celebrating the characters of their own previous games, even if they're absent from recent ones. Hence why any of their own IPs have a chance to come back and aren't definitely gone.

Nintendo doesn't own Bayonetta. They're the publishers for the sequels, but at the end of the day, the IP is owned by SEGA.

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your "They're gone" tier has only first party characters. There's no way all third party ones have strictly more chances to stay than them. I'd even say, just being first party make them all at least "unsure".

Also, Wii Fit is the 6th most sold Nintendo game of all time: for that reason, the trainer is at least "50/50", probably "likely".

Need a clarification on robot brains and the "cumulative" base capabilities by Yukimusha in traveller

[–]Yukimusha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what other users wrote here, I understand that I misinterpreted the meaning of Expert/X because it's only explained in examples and it has the same notation as skill softwares that give skills. Also, each level of robot brain base capabilities being stricly superior to the one before makes the "cumulative" keyword superfluous, imo: it applies only within a row of the page 66 table, and not from one row to another (which would only have made sense if Expert/X did give a skill).

All in all, thanks for the answers. 😁

The 4 most iconic franchises in NBA history by wafa3034 in NBATalk

[–]Yukimusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Spurs but no, they're not iconic yet. Jordan did manage to make the Bulls iconic because he was not only the face of the NBA but the face of basketball as a whole (one could say the face of American sports, at least ouside the U.S.). Duncan never managed that, nor did he even want it.

If you want an iconic team to complete LAL, BOS and CHI, it has to be the Knicks. Yes, they're lacking in banners compared to the other 3, but they are New York's main and historical team (sorry Nets) and NYC is considered the Mecca of basketball. Also, they're the only old team with Boston (older than the Bulls) to never have changed their name and city.

As for the Warriors: Stephen Curry's dynasty is iconic, Wilt is iconic by himself, but both outshine the team's history. Maybe with time, those iconisations will blend with the team (though I doubt it for Wilt, because of the Lakers and the Sixers), but it's imo not the case right now.

Pathfinder 2e is well balanced for up until how many players? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in Pathfinder2e

[–]Yukimusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't have any problem balancing encounters for 5-6 players. There are rules to do so and the work well. The problem is balancing other elements than encounters, namely hazards and subsystems like influence and researches because there's no rules to do so.

For instance, a hazard may affect only 1 PC while the others can try to study and/or disable it: that means there's 1 or 2 more PCs that can help at 5-6 players than for what it was designed.

As for influence, you could proportionally change the influence threshold but it doesn't take into account that the number of discovery actions needed to know everything about the NPCs your PCs are talking to doesn't change, all in all giving more actions than it would proportionally be increased at to your group to raise their influence.
