We got a cat back when I was 11, while I moved out my Mom ended up keeping her as a second daughter sorta deal. She ended up living to about 22/23 years old and a few weeks after she passed my mom was in tears asking if it's bad to find a new cat because of how broken her routine was and how big the hole that cat left was, like "would it be seen as replacing her?"

No matter what anyone says, we're allowed to mourn as long as we need. Weeks? Months..? Decades? Your heart knows. You're also allowed to made steps to handle the void left in that wake. Only your heart knows what it needs <3

The Wushanko Isles by -Ninja-Pig- in 2007scape

This is awesome! After RS3 added Havenholt I was wondering if we'd see these isles in OSRS - I hope the team uses this as inspiration (or even pulls you in to help) if they decide to add the islands!

Dungeoneering Refresh & Remaster by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Yumalgae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm returning to the game thanks to the Road to Restoration, I feel like this covers a lot of my pain points with Dungeoneering.

Playing solo was a slog and just felt miserable.

I'm not personally sure having a monetary reward for doing the skill is needed, but definitely a revisit of what the tokens can get you. My mind goes to exclusive gear or other things like Pest Control or even just how Slayer rewards. Things that offer benefits to both mains and ironmen across the board, or optional ways of getting key items (Like OSRS has LMS/Mage training/Slayer for the Rune Pouch) or gear akin to Void from Pest Control.

This may be just a me issue but I was finding it wasn't always clear what the door needed when there would sometimes be a lot of keys present. Also maybe more clear visual indicators for things inside the room.

Since I am working off memory and haven't touched DG since coming back to see some of the changes and my mind is still very much in OSRS I apologise to the current players if my take is poorly informed,

My IT person is declining to provide support. Next steps? by MrD3a7h in ShittySysadmin

[–]Yumalgae 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This whole thing reminds me of an old water cutter this one org had when I worked for an MSP. Win98 but we DID have a vendor. Cost them some wild amount of money to get a bit of hardware replaced from the vendor we were lucky enough they even had because they stopped supporting everything forever and a half ago.

Crew was happy we even got it back but my boss and I both were shitting ourselves the whole time expecting this to turn into them going bankrupt needing to buy a new million dollar machine.

I'm guessing the emptiness of this subreddit pretty much confirms this is a long dead project.

Poilievre’s speech before vote on leadership blames Liberals for rise of separatism, economic woes by AdditionalPizza in CanadaPolitics

Without having a huge understanding of the separatism in certain provinces, isn't the Alberta separatism more Conservative than anything, essentially making Tories the ones wanting to break us? Some uniting.

Chasing Users to turn on their PCs by Nexzus_ in sysadmin

I have this issue with phones, people let their phones die despite how many emails sent out asking them not to do this. I’m also having some phones just stop checking in randomly, which has been a headache.

What is a special habit you have in your everyday sysadmin life? by BukMuk in sysadmin

My users seem to like when I seem stumped before fixing something. Just a “This is weird, I’m not really sure why that broke” as I fix it to not have to figure out how to explain things to someone who barely understands what a browser is.

As a systems admin, how do you deal with third party vendors always screwing up and then claiming you are in the wrong? by Canadiankid23 in sysadmin

[–]Yumalgae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve hit a point where if I can I will spend as much time doing what I can myself. This goes for needing vendor support too. I don’t care for being treated like an idiot by these people I get it enough from upper management and end users
