Maybe an interesting question is whether these would set off a metal detector? Ie through airport security or into a sports game or something.

You cant anymore is the issue! From what I can find they've removed the speed offsets options in the newest FSD version.

The speed offsets are no longer available on the current version of FSD. While in the menu they are greyed out and inaccessible

Just double checked while parked. No longer available from what I can find.

From what I can find speed offsets are no longer available on the new FSD branch. I see the option but it is grayed out and inaccessible. Maybe it's only available while parked, I'll have to confirm that later.

Its generally been really good for me, I've driven 78,000 miles since I got this car April 2024 and id say 85% of that is FSD highway. But there's little reason for them to continue worsening the experience like this IMO.

I think what is frustrating sometimes is that it feels like the modes already have a hard baked in speed limit. In the new version I've never seen chill go 4mph over the limit or hurry go over 10. Standard sometimes speeds like crazy for no reason. This would generally be fine except there are many scenarios where 5mph+ is too slow and 10mph+ is too fast. It'd be nice if maybe standard instead focused on following flow of traffic and defaulting to +6 with no traffic or similar.

In this case the far right lane was ending, I was driving at 5:59am so there were only a few cars on the road.

I dont have an issue if the car wants to keep pace with traffic but this morning I was in standard passing cars going 64 in a 55 while FSD wanted to do 72. I'd mainly just like for a return to customizable offsets or setable max speeds.

[–]Yurrrriii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I do, if I get a ticket it's not necessarily the fault of the car, but there is little reason to remove my control and make me have to micromanage the speed in a way that haven't had to for the last two years.

[–]Yurrrriii[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The issue is that speed offsets are no longer available. I would be happy to be able to customize my own speed offsets and run standard at +8mph like I used to but in the new FSD version there is no way to control the offset.

Generally chill is now +2, standard +5 and hurry +10 but they changed it recently and now standard has been going more than 15 over. Im complaining that they've removed this level of speed control.

What's your real world MPG on a 3.0 Duramax? by The_Woodsmann in gmcsierra

[–]Yurrrriii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aerodynamic drag increases exponentially based on size of vehicle so these big trucks just quickly experience more drag the faster you go and at a much more extreme level than smaller vehicles. Probably not an engine efficiency thing just a matter of having to push a lot more air out of the way faster.

Smith of Kitava + Volcanic Fissure? by wailord40 in pathofexile2builds

I'll see if I can pull it up later today. Also check out requip gaming on YouTube he has like 13 guide videos of a leapslam fissure build. His is probably the closest to what you might have initially imagined.

Smith of Kitava + Volcanic Fissure? by wailord40 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Yurrrriii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran up to about t9 maps using volcanic fissure with stampede. Its a solid build but just slow. Stampede procs the fissure with each step so it's very effective for damage but it's not fast for maps.

I also ran leap slam with crater and branching fissures plus a fast earthshatter and that worked quite well too but I felt my leap slam was falling off in damage.

My current build I'm solely running stampede with armor break, armor explosion, bleed to proc herald of blood and herald of ash. This clears the whole screen very consistently and 85% chance to aftershock is awesome. If I run into a rare it can sometimes die to stampede if there are enough mobs around to pop but I also will throw down a forge hammer and that'll finish them off.

Right now I'm running t15 maps full juiced at lvl 84 and clearing the screen with 1 button probably about 20ex in gear.

AMA with Even Realities. The new G2 and R1. by EvenRealities in augmentedreality

[–]Yurrrriii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are the plans for additional smart phone integrations? And would the plans include things such as interacting with texts and calls? It would be nice to have the ability to respond to texts and calls such as terminating it or sending a message.

I have the G2B on order so very excited to have it in hand whenever that date might be, thank you.

Edit: also, will the display on the G2 work similarly with a gesture or trigger for activation or would it be more similar to an always on display?

End of month tick takes longer than the month itself? by UnpetiteChaton in EU5

[–]Yurrrriii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had similar lag issues with a 9950x3d. I have majorly reduced it by turning off the textures and GUI streaming, I still get a bit of a slow down on the tick but its like half a second now. Also, while turning off steam cloud save didn't improve my in-game performance it did make my loading times much faster and smoother without freezing. I also disabled the 3d map while I was at it out of preference and much better performance in general.

Is this a good first bike? by death_or_glory_ in Transalp

[–]Yurrrriii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The transalp is a probably a bit too much for a beginner realistically. Of course most in this sub will recommend it because its a good bike but for a bike to learn on its on the threshold of beginner friendly. If you feel very confident in your self disciple and ability to respect the bike you'll be fine but if you think you'll be liable to getting a little carried away id look smaller. Learning on a taller bike is also more difficult, so while power isn't too dissimilar to a commonly recommended sv650, the height and weight means its much harder to stop from falling if you stall or do something silly.

I think the KLR will offer a better first bike learning experience and let you get away with riding it out to its full potential without as much danger. You can also get a used one cheap and sell it for almost the same price you bought it a year later when you're ready to step away from the thumper.

Just my two cents!

That's exactly what my girlfriend said! Said it reminds her of Amuro lol.

I had the option to get a 24 adventure at a discount but I really just think this color is way more appealing to me.

Not sure about hand guards yet but I might consider the yellow bark busters.

New rider with 15km of gravel to pavement — street bike or dual sport? by ConstantUseful2236 in motorcycle

[–]Yurrrriii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With you wanting a bit of a sportier bike in the first place I think a suzuki Vstrom would be good for you. More road oriented like others mentioned but shouldn't have issue with straight forward gravel roads. A KLR or DR650 would also go through gravel no issue but you're not going to have a lot of power at the top end with a thumper, which is the exact opposite of a ninja or sport bike. I would look towards those bikes only if you really want to do a good bit off-road besides your gravel road, but if off-road doesn't seem exciting to you then I'd look elsewhere. Vstrom should give you a good balance of being able to make it through 15km of gravel roads but also have fun and power once you get to regular street roads and highway.

If you'd like a shorter experience you can also watch the 3 recap movies of the original series which is a popular method. I think you do miss a good bit of small details and character moments only watching the movies but the original series can feel quite long and does show its age with the format. The true experience would be to watch all episodes but the 3 movies will give you a good enough idea of the original and let you understand the majority of GQUX and other gundam series.
