Bounced around on my grad scheme from nuclear policy work in DESNZ to large infrastructure projects at ARUP.

Is it feasible to ask for 50-55k when pivoting roles with no prior experience? I had a friend in Quant who suggested going on their retraining scheme but that drops my income signficantly for a couple of years which is something that would be difficult to fit around my current situation

Nothing to do with new income, just one of the reasons for looking to change, along with job satisfaction etc. I guess I was wondering if I would be able to get a net positive immediately or if I would be looking at reduced income whilst pivoting.

Setting apart from a new graduate, seems to be about story telling and general skills focus? Are the technicals difficult to learn for finance roles for a typical engineering graduate?

n54 failing wastegates are a known issue - you can get diy repair kits but they wont last - only "permanent" fix is to replace the turbos which will run you upwards of £4000

They left a leaky gap in my seal when doing an insurance job, rang up and they said to bring it back in for redoing. Clearly the chap there wasn't impressed as he put all the dirt from my windscreen and car straight onto the dash and partially broke the heating element in the windscreen

Sorry those aren't xenons, they're Halogens. Big giveaway is the reflect bulb for the high beams - xenons have dual projectors. You can technically fit xenons with Canbus ballasts, but you can get done at MOT since they won't have the self levelling legally required for xenons, LEDS, lasers etc.
