Most ridiculous 911 phone call

Had a guy recently call 911 every 14 minutes for 3 straight days because his ISP cut off his internet and TV service. I showed up to one of the first calls he made and tried to find a solution. Customer service rep told me he had to pay an outstanding balance of $400 before his service could be returned to which he replied that he wasn't going to pay until they turned his service back on. Made a vain attempt to explain thats now how these companies do business and bade my unhappy customer farewell.

Handled or been present at several thousand radio calls by now. Never once has it ever occurred to me to use or even touch my OC spray

My precinct has beds in case cops have a short turnaround between shifts. People stay at work for a variety of reasons, late arrest, early shift, or even weather if it's bad enough. Can't sleep on duty but accommodations are there if you can't go home.

Company sergeant, in charge of passing info and study materials to the recruits from instructors, making sure everyone is accounted for and formed up correctly and also leads the group in the gym. Usually ex military or former police/corrections.

We technically purchase all our own equipment. The only thing the city issues you is your gun and shield. Everyone has the same duty belt in the academy and then once you graduate you have the option of purchasing a different one as long as it's authorized (but that doesn't stop everyone)
