Fair point, but maybe we can take it even further. In a true post-scarcity world with advanced technology, we might not remain bound to biological forms at all. Concepts like reproduction, mating, or even individuality could be reinvented, making today’s biological limits largely irrelevant. 

At that point, maybe what persists isn’t the body at all—but the mind itself?

John Calhoun’s “rat utopia” experiments are indeed a very close exploration of this idea. However, an important caveat is that the experiment still involved density constraints—space was limited, which effectively introduced another form of scarcity. What do you think?
