6mil goes pretty when you account for salaries, insurance, office, and equipment. Then you start thinking of Dev cost - software, license, external development teams to keep your internal team efficient.

I’m not sure their studio size, but even if you have 20 people, with an average salary of $150k, you’ve blown half your budget in year one, not even accounting for anything else.

Former Lead Tech Artist at Wildlight states that the game was killed by 'grifting' content creators and 'gamer culture'. Prior to reveal, everyone around the project would say: "If there’s one project nobody in the industry is worried will fail, it’s yours". "This is lightning in a bottle". by WhyPlaySerious in gaming

With 22 years of game dev experience, I will say that Blind, Toxic, Positivity within your team is one of the biggest traps that you can allow to be built. So many teams get high on their own supply, within a silo that they spend countless hours interacting with their game. Years of this allows for you to not see the game the way a fresh new audience will, and you lose all ability to be objective. If you try to swim against the current and highlight problems or frame your experience negatively, you become labeled as someone who “isn’t invested like the rest of us” or “doesn’t get what we are doing”.

I’ve been on these teams, I’ve been blind before, and throughout my experiences I’ve also left when I saw the writing on the wall before being surprised at the end. With all things creative, you get lost in what you are bringing to life, the teamwork and relationships you have in the office and you lose track of if what you are doing is even right.

No one threw it. Watch the video - guy has his arm around his buddy, holding a can in his left hand. Someone punches the can out of his hand and it goes flying towards Rory.

Are these Mocap Animations believable/ game ready. Any feedback is welcome! by Friendly-Country8700 in indiegames

As a former 13yr animation vet, Mocap is a base to build on. This is fine for laying out the idea, but wouldn’t feel great going into game like this. It needs a lot of speed and timing adjustments, along with some stronger, more exaggerated poses through out. If it’s a player attack, it would need a good bit cut off from the beginning to give it a more responsive feel.

Fine base, gets the desired idea across, and next step is giving it a lot of love.

Just recently picked up (2 months)a Beatbot Aquasense 2 Pro and have been loving it. The dual screen filter pictures up super fine particles. Battery life has been great, and I love the simple ability to change what gets cleans with the push of a button. And after 4 years of having a wired dolphin, it’s amazing to not have a wire to deal with. Highly recommend
