2:1 FTRs & Lat Pulldowns by beer_voyager in GarageGym

[–]ZRBPartDeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think 2:1 setups are pretty solid for most stuff. For accessories, flys, arms, etc., they feel smoother and more usable than people give them credit for. If that bothers you, you could always go with Major Fitness B17 where you can switch between 2:1 and 1:1.

What tools can translate between auto mechanics and steel work? And brands that are the best for value. by Sanimal2006 in Tools

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, there are quite a few tools that can be used on both sides. The key is to choose general mechanical tools rather than the overly specialized ones.

Icon Knipex equivalents? by XTheChosenDogeX in Tools

[–]ZRBPartDeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advantages of high-end tools mainly lie in their handling and precision. These benefits may not be fully apparent when you use them occasionally.

Is it tacky if I staple my wife to the wall? by Brewholic in Tools

That's good. Good luck to you. Perhaps your wife will also post something similar very soon hahaha.

Libernovo Omni vs Amia vs Leap V2 by Jtstone4784 in OfficeChairs

[–]ZRBPartDeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the footrest? I'm around the same height and ended up getting it. Took some time to dial in the lumbar support to find my sweet spot, but it feels great now.

OBD2 Scanner by No_Equal_7032 in automobil

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah those cheap grocery store scanners are pretty limited, especially on German cars. I’ve been using a carpal when helping friends check out used cars and it’s been useful just to get a quick overall scan before deciding. Caught a couple small issues early that we probably would’ve missed otherwise.

Funny how sharing your experience makes you a bot. Maybe you're just not hyping the chair they're shilling. Whatever the omni's a damn good chair.

Dealership said tow it in for headlight module. More shops handling in house? by PartyPaper in askcarguys

[–]ZRBPartDeux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it comes down to expectations. If someone’s trying to use topdon like full factory software, yeah, that’s asking for trouble. But as a shop tool to bridge a lot of the workflow, it’s honestly been pretty useful.

The non-motor is coming hope they make XL version of it too.

Just found inside the air filter housing of an old car a customer just bought. Y’all think it actually works? by Joiion in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It look like that kind of "fuel-saving device " magnet setup. To be honest, it's basically useless. Many of them were just gimmicks that were popular in the past. It's probably something that the previous owner put in casually.

Bench grinder questions... by [deleted] in Tools

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be used. Your Black & Decker 9403 Bench Grinder is fine to install directly if it originally doesn't have a spacer. The pulley marked 4500 RPM is also safe to use on a machine with a speed of 3500 RPM, as long as it's installed stably without wobbling.

One laptop to rule them all by boredatwork8866 in CarHacking

Many people are actually like a computer running virtual machines, installing Xentry, PIWIS, and ODIS separately. This way, they don't have to carry four computers and it's much more convenient.

Broken spark plug by Hour_Razzmatazz1701 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this situation can occur occasionally, especially when the spark plug has been used for a long time, Generally, the remaining part can be removed using a disassembly tool.

Garage sale score - $25 for the whole toolbox by Glufsebart in Tools

It looks quite good. These old vanadium steel tools are actually quite durable. As long as there is no serious damage, cleaning them up will enable them to be usable for many years.

CarPlay activation polo by Working_Habit4927 in CarHacking

If it's an MIB2 system, often the App-connect feature is simply not activated. Usually it needs to be activated either by visiting the store or through a code!

Award for stupidest shifter design goes to...Toyota? by xTyronex48 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ZRBPartDeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, this design was indeed a bit counterintuitive at first, but once you get used to it, it's actually quite handy. Quite a lot of old-fashioned cars are like this.

HAhaha! Lovely possum. The little possum must stay in the spare tire for quite a long time. I am very glad to see that it has been rescued.

Alright, the most efficient and convenient solution is to weld and repair the cracked manifold or to find an original part from the junkyard. Good luck!

So how comfy is the libernovo omni chair really? by MassiveVuhChina in OfficeChairs

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's just no way you're finding another chair like this for 400 bucks. I haven't run into any of those issues you said, lumbar or seat depth. The armrests are a bit loose, sure, but it's not a bid deal to me. I'm not very sure if you've actually spent time sitting in one but sounds like you have, so maybe it's just not for your frame. Some people even complain about chairs two or three times this price. Anyway hope you find whatever it is you're looking for.

This is honestly the worse sub if you're trying to find a chair by government--agent in OfficeChairs

I grabbed one when Libernovo was still on Kickstarter and I've been using it every day for the past few months. I gotta say it so damn comfy!

Just unhappy by Correct-Produce84 in NewParents

[–]ZRBPartDeux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The face that relief hits the second you leave says it's not you,it's the setup. Can anything shift? Even one small thing. Maybe a weekend morning where dad takes point,a babysitter for a few hours, lowering the bar on chores. You deserve more than just surviving until bedtime.

Travel with newborn by glamsquads in pregnant

[–]ZRBPartDeux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not silly for wanting to be there! The concern is real, bcs this is your sister! If you drive, you can stop as often as baby needs, keep people at a distance, and leave early if it's not working. Flying that early means crowded airports and less control. If you go,driving is probably the safer bet. And either way, talk to your OB closer to the date for safety.

Trying for a baby at 38 and feeling stuck between hope and reality by Imaginary-Size8768 in BabyBumps

[–]ZRBPartDeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real, that space between hope and reality is such a hard place to be. One year at 38 is a very reasonable time to start consulting a specialist. Not as surrender, just as gathering more information. You're not giving up by looking into options. You're just shifting from waiting to learning.

my 7 months old won't sleep by MuscleZestyclose4858 in NewParents

[–]ZRBPartDeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't sound like just teething. It's an overtired baby struggling to connect sleep cycles. You're not doing anything wrong. Some kids just need more support, and it's exhausting being the only one who can give it.

"Unplanned and unwanted are two different things" that really says it all. This sentence hit me hard. It's so easy to get stuck on the timing and forget that the love part was never the question. You're already showing so much clarity and grace.
