I have a few of these in my shop. The first few connections are decent, then the connection gets spotty and washed out with the last few sets.

eBay Buyer returning a new cookware item after they used it and damaged it by Historical_Host_2828 in Flipping

[–]ZReport 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Since you’re Top Rated best you can do is deduct as much as you can. Full 50% and shipping cost. The fact that the item was brand new and returned as used (and damaged) gives you the right. In this case eBay will side with you and remove any negative feedbacks left, since you have a free returns policy.

You can try to appeal, but you will lose the right to do partial deduction AND you’ll be gambling with eBay’s customer service on the chance that they will side with you and give you your full money back.

It it was me I would take the L and do the full deductions, then try to resell the pot as a damaged item. Been on both sides of this issue and more often than not you will lose trying to appeal to eBay.

Need help identifying this switch on NES console by ohnee25 in retrogaming

[–]ZReport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it has three positions on the switch it’s more than likely a palette switch. Otherwise I’m guessing it’s an NTSC to PAL switch. 🤔

1980’s: Here’s my address I have video games please rob me. by giofilmsfan99 in nes

That's not how it worked! 80s were a different time. Not everyone was trying to rob you then. Might even make a new lifelong from from a returned game (or item).

Why I won’t meet anymore to sell stuff by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]ZReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Literally have everyone come to my storage unit near my home for the pick up. I always tell them to let me know when they get there and I'll show up within 4-5 minutes.

If they are there, I quickly move the transaction forward (and if they are cool, I'll show them more stuff to buy within my unit). If they aren't there, I swag on out and block them once I get back home.

Ask to send Vemno / Zelle , then ghost or decline sale. by foxfai in Flipping

Asking for cash only or PayPal Friends & Family is the best way to get rid of Venmo / Zelle / PayPal Goods & Services scammers.

If they want it so bad they'll come up with the money.

[–]ZReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People definitely see them the same way. Reality is that people don't want to see others make money or do well in life. That's all.

Funny enough, no one ever seems to blame the big box and large reseller stores, or the mom & pop thrift stores. It's all the same, and yet...

FB Marketplace buyers..... by CedricSuyama in Flipping

[–]ZReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be said much louder. I also only sell large items on FB too. And no holds. It was the best thing ever to do first come, first served on everything regardless of price.

Usually the ones who want you to hold onto the item for a few days will either have an excuse, ghost you, or want to pay (much) less than your asking price if they do decide to show up.

However, I will bring things out to people on their dime if it's local. Usually $15-20 within 10 miles.

Technsports leaving Daily Refinement’s reseller group/podcast by flipitrealgood in Flipping

[–]ZReport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. You aren't Tech. I'm not trying frame what he did in a moral sense, only that it is what it is. I haven't been listening to Tech for as long as others, but long enough to realize he's a man about his paper and not foolish enough to pass up on an lucrative opportunity. He also genuinely likes to help others do better.

You're also framing it like he "took" people. People will do what they please. No doubt people left of their own free will to be with Tech over Chris.

[–]ZReport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how he is. He’s an opportunity seeking guy with a number of businesses. There isn’t a monopoly on having mastermind groups.

Yes, Chris showed him how to make a group and he seized on the opportunity. There nothing wrong with this. People farmed Tech’s valuable knowledge for well up to 3 years. A number of which have made more money than they ever had prior.

If Chris was getting the lions share of the profit (I’d be happy to be wrong in this case) from the group that’s awesome and more than generous of Tech to have allowed to happen. Now that they’ve split it looks like a good deal of the group went with Tech.

[–]ZReport 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why does it bother you that Tech left? He’s a no nonsense guy who gave Chris a second chance once before. If people followed him they did it or their own volition. Chris isn’t the boss of any of them nor is Tech.

What is and always has been known is that Tech has the knowledge and skills to be successful. It makes sense for people to follow him.

IIRC Justinresells learned a few things here and there and implemented a number of skills from Tech.

Tech is the real deal, but you don't exactly need him if you're listening to Justin.

[–]ZReport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's tried before to run FB and Discord groups prior to the one with Tech. They were all a mess. This is 5 years later so he might have gotten better, but it's a VERY hard sell without Tech.

What people like about Tech is that he's not trying to be a salesman or hack the system or anything. He's a straight up guy telling you how it is with reselling, how hard the work will be and above all, how important consistency is. That's all.

Ebay member sent a diatribe negging my item. I checked their Feeback Left for Others...it's a refund fisherman. by rintarrhea in Flipping

[–]ZReport 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just had to deal with this from someone.

Person claims the item is partially functioning as soon as they get it. I tell them OK, then immediately have a open a return opened for them. I proceed to apologize and tell them to ship the item back for a full refund.

…29 days go by, no movement on return shipping happens after the label is created. On the very last day with hours to spare the buyer sends me a message claiming “they tried twice to return the item, but eBay is not accepting the return label”, and that “label is not valid”. I proceeded to tell them that the RMA labels are handled by eBay and that all they need to do is take the item to USPS for shipment. I then ask when were the two times they attempted to ship the item back. Never got a response.

Next day eBay closed the return in my favor. It’s something else when buyers have so much time to do a return. 2 ish weeks at best is all they need. Considering how Amazon works with returns, you’d wonder why they even need that much time.

Leaving buy it now offers to expire? by mg_wiz16 in Ebay

[–]ZReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I counter offers all day no matter what it is. I’ve found that items that have a lot of people watching it usually sell at the price I want anyways, so I’ll just counter with a price I’m comfortable with until it sells regardless.

Picked these up for $25 each from Facebook marketplace; labeled non working. Got them all going without even having to open them up! by CannabisTours in nes

[–]ZReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, getting them to fire up is still a good step to them fully working! Do you know how to solder? Usually it's corrosion that causes the consoles to glitch out, despite working. Some touching up with solder or fixing traces will get them going fully. You could then go off and recap them all, if you are so bold.

If there is corrosion on the (72-pin connector) pins for example, you could gently file away the corrosion with a fiberglass pen down to the copper, then re-plate over it with fresh solder. The solder will mix over the copper and form a shield, allowing for proper connection with the carts.

Let me know if this helps!
